Because I'm the teacher, because I'm older, and because you need to are not valid reasons as you aren't giving me context. Pretty much - it got to the point my senior year where I was just doing work because I had to. Like, I worked at LEGO the summer before, and after having some real life experience and actually learning things that were applicable in a job scenario, school was just a waste of time for me. My school did an incredibly poor job of preparing people for actual real life (and I suspect that many, many American colleges are the same way). There were a couple awards ceremonies that I didn't tell my parents about because I just didn't care. I wasn't there for praise, I was there to learn things, and it got to a point where I would have learned much more actually working than I would have sitting through class. Also the reason why I don't run Loot Hoarders because it doesn't matter how much attack they have when they just get lolpinged. I always have an Ooze, and unless it's a super strong late game class I like to include a casual BGH in the list too, just because. This guy's so satisfying to play, esp. against Druids (I don't see much giants decks or shit like that, I guess not playing ranked helps).

The problem is the system of teaching for the test instead of preparing people with relevant information. Basing a teacher's degree on their students' test scores is the most inefficient way of getting things done, and the government still just keeps pouring money into it as if money will solve the problem, wondering why our education continues to suck. k-12 education and university operate on completely different models though, and university is nothing like what you just described. hell, private vs public universities have pretty different models too, and then you throw in for-profit, trade schools, community college, etc. etc. to the mix and it's really hard to generalize but to say school is more stressful than work is as a general statement is pretty dumb lol

I did Engineering then law school at fairly competitive schools, and it was more stressful for like 2 weeks every 6 months, but I find the incessant nonsense of real work.

School isn't stressful at all, but that doesn't mean I like having my future judged on whether I know that boron is a metalloid

Is that 15-18 hours per week? Obviously systems will differ a lot from the US to Germany and I'm probably as ignorant as possible on the American education system, but I'm having 30 hours in uni every week + homework (quite a bit). Still sooo much more enjoyable than school, oh my god. I really didn't like the school system, learning pointless stuff to puke it onto your exam sheet and then forget about it.
