Amnesia 1 hands down. The way oil works and the way your insanity works just made the experience scary as shit. You always feel so pressured during it. You honestly can feel trapped and in a shitty situation. The mood is darker and when you finally do get to a lighter area that feels "safe" you're like "thank god." Amnesia 2 has obviously far better graphics but you really don't have a huge sense of urgency. It's just really subpar. They removed the oil and insanity meters which really made amnesia scary, as you basically no longer need to ration oil in fear of not having any and going insane in the darkness. The game itself is a lot brighter and the monsters less scary overall. Pick amnesia 1, you'll thank me later. | ||
