I watched most of the finals but wasn't privvy to any if the background drama. Sounds about right from the smash community tho.
The good thing from that tourny was the fact that people outside of the big 5 were bodying people left and right. Westballz looked fucking unstoppable in his sets on stream. In the games where he was in control he made mango look like trash. His falco is very entertaining.
Add in the home crowd advantage from axe and the az people and there was a lot of hype. Kinda sucks that the whole thing is going to be over cast by the to stuff rather than the players looking this good so close to evo.

To be fair, a lot of Sandstorm was the beer-fest testing who had drunk the least amount of alcohol. Most everyone looked somewhat hammered.

I left up 3G1W mana and had a G/W dual, so I was all ready for some combat tricks, and then I looked at my land pile and thought it was just a fucking forest and thought I set it up wrong, realizing later on that I didn't misplay that part at all.
