Oh my god... It's symbolic, like most of the things the Hebrews were required to do. But yes, the plagues are quite dark

Has your boss been OSHA fined before? That shit doesn't play around, he should be thankful you guys can still do work lol. I wasn't doing anything related to what I am now, just moving pipe and making sure stuff wasn't getting crushed. Sure wish one of the owners hadn't fucking lost this shit and I got it when I asked originally ... Told one of the other owners and I'll ask the ops manager tomorrow if my boss doesn't. This is actually I think the first time OSHA has been on site I think since the electricians weren't using anything before, even though we're working in shitty conditions. I can show you some pictures if you want?
Construction has some pretty shitty stuff attached to it, but there is a reason OSHA exists lol. If they come around its because they've heard something's going down that shouldn't be. More than likely nothing will happen, unless there is some super aggregious shit going on, like unsecured bucket trucks ect.

A lamb is slain and it's blood is put on the doorway. The judgment passes over them. Think about it. I see where you're coming from with it being dark and it's more of a remembrance than a "holiday". I focused on the lamb since you didn't quote the part about the last plague but rather the lamb part.
The whole hardening of pharaoh's heart resulting in so many people dying is difficult to comprehend, no question.

Everyone was under judgment but his sacrifice/blood would take our sins and God's judgment would pass over on to him.

That seems like a bit Christian interpretation of what's going on, is there a messiah who will take our sins through sacrificing his blood and life in Judaism? Sorry for my ignorance.

The symbolism is that it's the fucking sheep's fault and we should kill them all

The old testament is honestly filled with stuff that is rather questionable. I'm not really sure if/why Christianity even follows it as Jesus is meant to fulfill/invalidate most of it. I guess I understand Judaism but even then. Meh I just don't get rituals at all. They seem so completely dumb and pointless. Like the Muslim growing a beard thing, seriously wtf or the Catholics baptizing babies. Feels like they just old control mechanisms the "churches" used back in the day and now we just keep doing it because it's always been done kind of thing.
