Found Seath. OW. I think you're supposed to lose that first encounter with him because you end up at a different place with a nearby bonfire and because you can't reach him with melee then he nukes the shit out of the whole battlefield. However, also found a Crystal Halberd. Damn the damage I was missing. T_T I've also upgraded some weapons like crazy. Gargoyle Axe +10 and climbing. Getting so much better than my stupid Raw Axe that I stupided my way into. This is all part of my "get moar deeps to fight 4 Kings" btw, and it's mostly focused on weapon upgrades. I still have a crapton of weird Titanite chunks that seem powerful, but I had to blow a ton of Titanite Chunks to get Large Titanite shards for that +10. If only I'd found the Crystal Halberd first qq. | ||

The thing that Wave found out is that its so hard to spoil dark souls in the first place, since so few of the bosses actually mean anything until you have done some sort of intense scrutinization. I can talk about O+S in his stream all I want because in the end the names mean nothing to him until well after the actual fight. | ||

There's also something to be said about not knowing a damn thing going into a game like that. Not even knowing names. Maybe it's just me, I dunno. IN other news, I think I'm actually seriously improving at MTG drafting. I've managed to 2-1 a bunch of drafts in a row, earning back most of what I've paid to enter it. With my newfound confidence I decided to enter the 'new' format swiss draft (6-2-2-2). The difference between this and the original Swiss draft is a 1-2 record here doesn't get you anything, the extra packs going to the 3-0 winner. Managed to pull out a 2-1 again, but this time I come out pretty far ahead since I drafted a couple mythics and a fetchland, all which are worth a few tickets each. Bragpost but I dun care. I REALLY enjoy drafting. So much so that on my upcoming 2 weeks off I may actually attend a FNM. Alone. | ||

I know my friend always liked to bring me to two headed giant drafts because we got any prizes I always gave my packs to him as I don't really play Magic. | ||

Eventually if I can keep up winning without hemorrhaging too much money maybe I'll brave the 4-3-2-2 or 8-4 single elim drafts. I've also heard that drafting online is WAY harder than IRL because the people who play online are much more competitive. (Maybe that's why I did better than expected at my prerelease?) I've also been feeling a bit of a pang for streaming lately. While I do have the next 2 weeks off, I have a lot of work to do in prep for my final month of interning and board exams, so I probably won't. At the end of May though, I have half a year off, so maybe I'll actually dedicate some real time and effort to it. | ||

As for the drafting, the only way to get better is to just go to all of those drafts. Sure you'll lose money, but the way I see it all you're doing is spending some money to have an evening of fun. Any prizes that you win are just a bonus. Also what are you going to do after board exams? I think you're an eye doctor, but I don't know exactly what you do or the details of your job. Not trying to pry into your personal life, but I'm just curious. Regardless, you're a pretty cool guy Wave. Stay classy! | ||
