Electronic music has the same slew of terms to distinguish this or that variation and I'd have no idea what they're talking about. A new guy arriving next week on the project had "hard <something> fan" on his resume, including that he regularly goes to Belgium and Netherlands to attend festivals. My boss thought it was like me because the coworker who didn't know Deep Purple/Nirvana/Queen apparently put me in the "hard/metal/etc." crowd after a couple links. Nevermind that I linked her more pop or folk than metal or rock. :< I gotta educate these music plebs. | ||
