I'm not sure what I would do with 8 unsupervised hours a day. I'm pretty sure only bad come come from this.

My attempt to change the topic has failed.

I certainly wouldn't be productive for 8 hours. It'd lessen the odds of me cleaning the house or taking my shower past 11 PM because I didn't feel like doing it right after coming home from work though. In theory it'd let me plow through my books/games/series heap, in practice I'd lose a bunch of time chatting on irc, watching streams, playing "non-ending" games like LoL, and sometimes going out (most people aren't available during the afternoon anyway).
Although if you have a kid, even if you take a leave from work you'll end up with less "unsupervised hours" anyway.

The otter and I already discussed that if she made enough or if I could get a work from home job I would totally be a stay at home dad.

My ex was a sociology major. I now abhor all social rights discussions. Please OT, stop being the poison my liver is attempting to purge.

Haha yea being a stay at home anything isn't easy. Not only do you get stuck with a devil that flings poop everywhere but you also got to keep the household clean and then deal with listening to whatever shitty day your SO had when they get home. I believe the "traditional" monogamous household fits better than 2 working but it's tough to do and the people have to be prepared for it.
I've read horror stories in America about Dads with little daughters in public. Don't know if that's the norm or not but people seem to label all men as predators/pedos over there from the little I've read.

naw teut i said global and never insinuated there wasnt prejudice against men too. all prejudice based on gender is wrong.

At the end of the day you get dumb people doing dumb stuff. It's why any kind of male movement gets shunned quickly because the radfem people are terrified of actual equality. A bit sad but society does seem to be slowly moving. A stay at home dad isn't as rare or "weird" as it once was. i mean conventional as in what most people on feminist sites talk about if you go by the definition of feminism its just being a decent human being because theres such a big stir up about LGTBTQQBGTGT people then everyone stressing super hard the whole gender is a spectrum or gender is a societal construct and shit even though for the most part its clearly not lol 1) gender and sexuality are two different things yo
2) gays are the ultimate misogynists + Show Spoiler +the issue of misogyny in gay culture is actually a valid issue to discuss, because reasons, but the tumblr "gays hate wimminz"' trope is overrated
Also, this is apparently how I need to get people to watch the Xcom stream (also fk u px, you never show up) + Show Spoiler +

Even if I had a kid, I feel like I would be that dad who is way to engrossed by his kids hobbies and it turns out that the hobby was for you and then the kid by proxy. I'm pretty sure dadhood just comes with the ability to by toys again, which is a super bonus.

Kaiji is super good, if only for the atmosphere. It's a case of anime adaptation of a manga that really makes use of the differences between the media (the narrator who's totally into it, the "zawa zawa~" chorus to bring tension, etc. and Kaiji's VA is very good).
Seirei no Moribito is cool and beautiful and it has a good soundtrack and its story is non-cliche for once. Also adapted from a novel.
Kaiji is hilariously over the top. I feel like the narrator will be like, "AND KAIJI DROPPED A QUARTER, BEHOLD THE DESPAIR IN HIS SOUL!" I love it.
Seirei no Moribito is an absolutely phenomenal anime and everyone should watch it. It is a crime that they haven't continued with any of the other novels.
Jojo's Bizarre adventure is awesome too. It's ridiculous, but like Kaiji it revels in it, only instead of gambling you've got vampires, characters named after famous bands, robotic Nazis, and other silliness.

i never said they weren't different I just said that they both definitely exist from biology
man imagine if I were gay all my interests lie in male dominated fields I'd basically never have to deal with women at all for any reason
