Supposedly very unhealthly for your joints especially, not sure about it though. Just hearsay. Very similar, but full body for gymnastics. I have wrist/forearm tendonitis/splints. My L4 and L5 vertebrae are compressed. My shoulder is all kinds of messed up. I have very little cartilage left in my ankles. A lot of the pain that occurred while I was still doing gymnastics was more from impact and strain. Now that I'm done, since I'm not stretching and moving everyday (sitting at a computer at work for 40 hours a week doesn't help either), everything is just tightening up and shit. My back and neck are a whole mess of knots.

Somewhere along the line, I also got spiked in the shins pretty badly while running a 4x200. Leg's been pretty funky since then, can't run for more than 5 minutes without it feeling like I have bugs crawling all over my shinbone. Now the only sport I can play is badminton.

Plus it doesn't look that bad from the pictures/Cambodian music videos I've seen in comparison, espacially in comparison to the places they send missionarys too.

Cambodia is a wonderful country, I was a little apprehensive before I went but now I wish I had been there longer. I've been all over the world and Angkor is probably the most amazing place I've ever been to. Preah Vihear (that picture) is gorgeous and an educational experience. The Polpot history stuff in Phnom Penh, Killing Fields and the prison etc, very sombering but also an educational experience. The food is great. The people are friendlier and more accomodating than they are in Vietnam or Thailand. It's very inexpensive. My only regret about the trip is that I didn't plan on another week or two to be there.

"Relevant." I need to pick up physical exercice. Something to strengthen my shoulders because my skeleton weighs too much of my total weight and it messes up my back, but also to generally build muscle in the trunk and arms. I dunno. Boxing maybe, if I don't want to do straight-up musculation? >_>

I feel like I should have some input in this. and who is to say my voice isn't the embodiment of Jon Galt. and scip. being white in Lesotho is borderline celebrity status. it's a country of alcoholics though so you'd have to rethink your no booze policy.

Find a local gym (or use your university one), and lift some weights every other day (or every day, if you space out the muscle groups you work on), and do some cardio. Or if you're bereft of such equipment/locations, do some pushups/crunches. Heck, you can go and #getfitwithsnoopeh. Pushups, depending on stance, work your pecs and arms, and crunches for abs. There's alot of possible equipment-free exercises you can do in the morning, just go onto an exercise website to search for some. Space it out with some good cardio (jogging, maybe jumping jacks) and you're good.
