my biggest issue with dress shirts is that I either have a shirt that fits my torso well but the sleeves are way too short, or the shirt is massive but the sleeves are the right length That's why good dress store shops have long sleeve options for lanky folk. Like this: http://www.cavallaronapoli.com/en/heren/new/extra-sleeve-lenght.htmlGreat store btw for the Dutch folk here. Really good quality shirts and when they have a sale it's usually 2 for €90 or 3 for €140. that's so much money for shirts T_T the real problem is that I don't really know my measurements - I need to figure those out before I buy nice shirts (which I do want) Meh I've long realized that it's basically impossible to get clothes that fit as a skinny person in the US without dropping obscene amounts of money. #endfatprivilege Should take advantage of the strong dollar/weak euro to buy Euro-denominated stuff right now imoimo. On the flip side high fashion is all tailored towards anorexic body types so I have the advantage there ~_~ I bought these not too long ago. + Show Spoiler +You Americans should wear more than just khaki pants and a white buttonup with some boring shoes.
I don't have a single pair of khaki pants : <
The problem is I can't wear shoes like that to work and when I'm not at work I'd just wear sneakers of some sort : <

Why not?
You don't have to wear a suit for dress shoes.
Plus leather shoes like those are heavenly after you've worn them for a while and broken them in. The way the leather moulds around your feet for a great fit is so nice.

I keep forgetting that I'm a major outlier in here seeing as I work in construction/landscaping, so I'm breaking code if I don't wear jeans/steel toed boots, lol.
Still, hourly rates on public money jobs is fucking amazing, even as a laborer and one of the reasons I kinda want to go into a trade that unionized somewhat.

I actually dress like a bum most of the time and am by far the worst dressed person in the office 90% of the time lol.
IDK sneakers still more comfortable than leather shoes imo. Maybe I just don't wear them enough for them to get to that level of comfort but IDK, I'm skeptical.
I do need more casual shoe options though. Open to suggestions~

I wear blue jeans on Fridays and the rest of the week is slacks but not khakis. If I wear anything other than a polo it looks out of place but I could show up everyday in a suit and everyone would be fine with it.
Dress shirts are for weddings and funerals mostly, but there are times where they are nessissary. Also all the graphic tees for weekends. Lots of video game shirts and all my MTG shirts.

Success, I can now get hats drops from the Joindota MLG league ^^
Aside from either wearing bright orange/green/yellow shirts if I don't want to wear a safety vest, no one gives a fuck during construction what you wear, it's amazing.
Although, I do try and wear the shirts I got that rep the company and wouldn't mind getting a hoodie for the spring/fall instead of wearing an old college one....

as lab tech, all i wear are scrubs. so boring. other than that, i'm either in my gi for bjj, or shorts( or jeans)+graphic tees+flipflops (sneakers if footwear is necessary).
pretty much my suit is reserved strictly for interviews and shit, i rarely get a chance to sport my suit

Unless you're a WASP you can't wear Sperry topsiders without looking like a douche.
If you're a WASP you're default douche so the topsiders have no effect ; D

On the flip side high fashion is all tailored towards anorexic body types so I have the advantage there ~_~ I bought these not too long ago. + Show Spoiler +You Americans should wear more than just khaki pants and a white buttonup with some boring shoes. I don't have a single pair of khaki pants : < The problem is I can't wear shoes like that to work and when I'm not at work I'd just wear sneakers of some sort : < Why not? You don't have to wear a suit for dress shoes. Plus leather shoes like those are heavenly after you've worn them for a while and broken them in. The way the leather moulds around your feet for a great fit is so nice. Corporate culture is a 0 fun environment. Open to suggestions~ I bought Sperry's topsiders a while back and really love them. I've only really ever owned sneakers for casual shoes before, and really enjoy the Sperry's. so did I until I bought them
they're super comfy and look good

Button ups are a nightmare, but somehow I have a few that fit for casual wear with the top button undone and sleeves rolled a bit. For anything more I have some tailored to fit my obnoxious neck+shoulder+sleeve+don't want absurd amounts of material around my waist measurements.
