Highest percentage of mediocre fruit experiences for me was with oranges. Reading about navel oranges is pretty interesting though.

WEIRD. no wonder soniv is mad when all he gets are the crappy exports. even picking an orange is so satisfying. you pull down slightly, enough to bend the branch very slightly and then twist 90 degrees and the branch jumps back up with a faint rustle and you have your fruit.

No we definitely do. I wanted to say navel orange in my statement but then I realized I didn't know what made a navel orange navel. Interesting history is all. But a good orange is good but I'd take any good fruit over an orange and like I said I've had waaaay too many bad oranges. Things may be different when they grow next door though. I personally love grapefruit after you've peeled away all the membrane etc. and have just the plump juice pockets. You lose a lot of the bitter and the flavor is magnified when you go to the extra effort. It's like this concert in my mouth: phenomenal

we do keep the better fruit close to home, because shipping citrus kinda ruins em. also had a blood orange tree. those are really good when frost doesn't make them dry. You'd be surprised how diverse florida is yo. I can go outside walk to a bus stop and spend an hour getting to the beach and see nothing but beautiful women everywhere. and we have bikini weather 8 months a year. Something with banana? Nope, banana with a slight flavour or something, somewhere in the back. I still eat them regularly, one a day, easy and quick to gulp for breakfast, but I won't mix them with anything.
