I find her attractive, but I honestly don't have much interest in any sort of serious relationship with her (for multiple reasons), which is another factor in me being only tangentially interested enough to mention it. My Grandfather passed away very recently so I think I know how you feel. It's surreal to think that the thing you cared about is no longer there, and you won't get the chance to see it again.
