Honestly, I get that. I know the whole "out of my league" thing is kind of childish, obviously if she thought I was below her on whatever scale she wouldn't have dated me. And we've talked about this, I've actually discussed my depression and self-esteem problems with her, and her being there for me was amazing. I know I can be the kind of guy who deserves a girl like that. I really do. I know that for me, the way I am, it doesn't necessarily come naturally and I have to work at it. But seeing her, being with her... I know I can be better. I know I can improve myself and eventually, hopefully, see myself the way she sees me. It's really nice, you know? Having someone who makes you feel worthwhile and important after lacking that for so long. | ||

Going above and beyond is something you should do for yourself and not to be better just for other people because you think they deserve it.
