Uh I'd recommend one really powerful Mega (M-Salamence, M-Zard-Y, M-Kang, M-Gyarados, etc.) and then the remaining 5 Pokemon are there to support your Mega and set up your win. If you run two Megas, you have this problem where your remaining 4 Pokemon won't necessarily be good enough to cover all your bases. For example, M-Salamence and M-Gyarados have huge differences in their weaknesses, speed tier, coverage moves, etc. despite both being powerful Pokemon that can Dragon Dance sweep and provide Intimidate support before they Mega-evolve. (And that's more similarities than most Megas not called Lati twins will have.) It's like how in, say, Hearthstone if you make an aggro deck you go all-in on the plan and don't try to get cute with your building process. (e.g. Do Zoolock decks use Twisting Nether? No, cause it's too cute and you stretch your deck in too many directions trying to support it. So you end up with a deck that does a bit of everything badly instead of doing one thing very well and tuned to perfection.) The Imouto Team blog has some recent teams and you can use their thoughts to figure out how you build supporting Pokemon around a key Mega threat. | ||
