I gave the car keys to my kid to keep her occupied while we stopped in at the library. I was keeping a close eye on her but when she ran around a shelf she came up to my wife and she said she'd watch her while I looked for a book. I neglected to mention anything and sure enough we go to check out but don't have the car keys. Proceed to scan about 10 library shelves and sitting area for keys. At this point I'm hating my life and terrible decisions because there's literally 287,239 hiding places and she looooves to put things away... and it's like 80 degrees in this place for w/e reason as a crouch around looking. I get a friend to pick me up to go home, I can't find our spare key so I drive our other car to the library so they can go home (naturally the kid is hungry and needs changed for the last half hour by this point). My wife goes home and I go on to methodically check behind the bottom two rows of each shelf. They were behind the mystery paperbacks on the 5th shelf in of course. That was a long afternoon. | ||
