I was gonna buy a Wii U but my friends are trying really hard to get me to get a PS4 and Destiny. I know there's a lot of talk about Destiny being mediocre but I know I would totally love it. Or I could just keep playing WoW.

I'm being so patient with my monetary spending on models right now. I'm waiting until the new Necron Codex comes out to decide whether to continue with them or buy up some more Chaos.

That book can't come soon enough......

My assessment: + Show Spoiler [Text, lots of it.] +

Disclaimer: I quit during Cataclysm so I can't compare anything to Mists.

Questing is a heck of a lot better than Cataclysm. It's nowhere near as linear and there's far less "HEY LOOK, LOOK ISN'T THIS EPIC" and a lot more actual interesting story. There's still a whiff of "let's throw big name lore characters at you so you'll be impressed" but it isn't remotely as juvenile or horribly overt as Cataclysm. You'll also hit the level cap and still have zones left to do even if you don't have a ton of rest, so that's a huge improvement as well.

Garrisons are extremely fun and essentially replace daily quests. Instead of flying to a location and doing a rote task for the 20000th time, you send your followers out to collect gold, resources, items etc. Meanwhile you can do whatever it is you actually want to do (dungeons, pet battles, PvP, whatever). There's some min-maxing involved here (consider Salvage Yard mandatory). The only downside is that without daily quests there isn't much in the way of content if you just want to putz around for a bit rather than do anything involved.

There is one actual daily quest (non-dungeon) but it doesn't take more than half an hour to do and you get sent to a wide variety of areas for it so it stays pretty fresh.

The number one best feature outside of Garrisons is Flex Raiding. You no longer have to have exactly 10 or 25 people to raid, but can do Normal/Heroic with any number in between (Mythic is the new super-hardcore difficulty for the insane). That hunter fall asleep at his keyboard again? No problem just boot him and keep going. 17 people online? Who cares you can all go. It removes one of the biggest stresses of raiding.

The biggest problem with the expansion right now are professions. They've done a few things to dramatically improve them, but at the same time they also goofed up a few things. Profession perks that affect your DPS/Healing/Tanking are gone, and if you want to swap professions you no longer need old world materials/recipes to level. It's great except that most professions are very limited in usefulness. If you don't need to craft yourself gear Blacksmithing/Leatherworking/Tailoring are useless, Jewelcrafting is bleh because right now there's very little socketed gear, and flasks/glyphs are so cheap that Alchemy and Inscription are pretty pointless. Pretty much the only professions worth having are Enchanting for practical purposes, and Engineering for the lulz. Even Mining/Herbalism are pretty useless because you get so many herbs/ores from your Garrison.

So at the moment there are a few bumps, but overall it's a lot of fun.

I don't see the problem here. The clear solution is that you go Chaos, because I like Chaos more than the Necrons. Not to say that the Necrons are not cool. Indeed, I just reading a Ciaphas Cain book not too long ago which featured Necrons and it was awesome.

That being said, I know you have Necrons and you've posted pictures of them, yet I haven't seen you post any pictures of Chaos. I like Chaos. Chaos is cool.

There's a brand new novel out that actually focuses on Necrons and has them as the point of view characters, I'm ridiculously excited to read it. Even though Anrakyr isn't my favorite character, the fact that there's a book that's not Imperium focused is so cool to me. There was also a short story that came out featuring the team up between Necrons and Blood Angels which was pretty good and worth the couple bucks it costed.

My Chaos is pretty small right now. I posted pictures of Brick, my Great Unclean One, a while back. Other than him, I have 2 Daemon Princes, Be'lakor, 3 Plague Drones, some Plaguebearers and a few Nurgling bases. I love my Daemon Prince models, but I haven't had time to paint them yet. If I decide to go more Chaos, I'll be picking up some Chaos Space Marines to ally along as well.

wat

Last time i checked (been awhile), there was not a single good Xenos-oriented book produced by the Black Library. All just SPESH MERHEEENS, Horus Heresy, and a few non-Astartes Imperium books.

I'm just waiting for the Bequin trilogy to finish so I can grab the omnibus. It'll go well with Eisenhorn & Ravenor.

Supposedly the reviews so far are pretty favorable, though I haven't had a chance to go pick it up.

Also with this novel I'm torn between my need to have a physical book and the savings of $13 if I buy it as eBook format...

Anybody got any tips to deal with these Charley horses I get in the morning? Been occurring quite a bit now ever since I started working out again (I hate when my body finds a rhythm and is used to working out, then I stop for some stupid reason for awhile, and try to start up again).

Literally feels like knives being twisted in my leg. Woke up at 6AM, just lying there, writhing in pain for literally 20 minutes (longest I've experienced it before). I couldn't even try to get myself up its that bad.

I know I get cramps really easily if I'm dehydrated. Drink more water. Also potassium. K? Bananas and potatoes (specifically the skins, I believe) are high in potassium.

i did this for a while. its particularly painful knowing that 90% goes to the company and only 10% goes to the organization we are asking for pledges for. saying things like "times are hard for everyone but the veterans are particularly feeling the pinch, we arn't trying to take any food off your table but if you could find it in your heart for a one time friendship pledge of just $10 it really goes a long way." to some old lady really hurts. the place i worked at was a total shit fest too, full of people living paycheck to paycheck. and it was really cut throat like you can only sign up for 3hr shifts (up to three a day) and if you dont sell enough in an hour they send you home and only pay you for that hour. but i did become a better sales person.

My brother is incredibly good at sales, but he also has almost 0 problem with taking advantage of people who don't know better. He works part time at Staples, and the number of useless warranties he sells is absurd. Pretty sure he doesn't have a heart.
