TBH I think the guys at South Park probably have a way to make that hilarious. They're on a winning streak in terms of episode quality this season, so I have faith.

Maybe in the show, but I think the comic and game are both really good. I mean, it's like any other zombie show though where people are the real monsters. Not exactly ground breaking but it's handled well in these mediums.

I agree the zombie genre is oversaturated but I wouldn't say get rid of it completely. You certainly aren't the only one though, I hear a lot of people talking about zombie fatigue (at least on a lot of game podcasts).

I love zombie stuff, but I agree it's really overplayed in the last few years. The good ones (WWZ book, Shaun of the Dead, TWD comic and game, others) feel diminished because the zombie "genre" is just so flooded with mediocre and bad entries.
And of course Vampires. On one hand you have awesome shit like the original Dracula, Hellsing, Nosferatu, Daybreakers (which was so fucking good). On the other, you now have a society that associates vampires, one of the coolest fucking monsters of old, with shiny teenagers. Ugh.

I really liked Daybreakers conceptually but the actual movie dissapointed me. I'll just go back to watching Angel.

Well people have been trying to make Frankenstein's Monster more popular lately, but it hasn't caught. And no mummy oriented movie will EVER live up to The Mummy with Brendan Fraser. Which is awesome, and so was the second one.
