Ketchup, like 1 .gif in that thread was suspect, that's it. The rest was pretty normal for anyone that plays/played with a decent headset and/or knowledge of FPS's in general.

The point were Olaf shoots at a wall that has an opponent behind it could be because of movement, or a teammate saw/heard something in that area, so he pre-fired a bit instead of being pre-fired. It's normal by players at even a semi-pro level to do that sort of thing.

Also, most of those .gifs are too short, you would need at least 30-60 seconds to actually get a grasp of what was going on at those moments, and that's still short. Nothing but a full match review would cut it since teams have a way that they play certain maps and opponents, especially people you probably scrim from time to time; picking up on habits is very normal.

Reading some into it, I haven't had time to actually sit down and read everything, it's a witch hunt. A few bad apples ruined the bunch, FPS players in general are shit-heads, but the majority won't cheat, they might abuse glitches, but most of them will not use a third-party software to gain an edge. Winning is important, but skill is better.

Don't know about witch hunt at this point with how much proof people are finding(even pros stepping in and saying the same thing). The mouse cursor movement is a huge issue for most of the stuff there. The gifs are short because they are taken from video usually. You can find the same instances that people have put up on video format if you want.

The first one with the bomb disarming is the only one that sticks out to me, the second one could easily have been attributed by luck. I've done that a couple times in my CS play time. The third one is ambiguous at best, I'm not sure about typical pro-level mouse movement when it comes to smokes, but nothing really stuck out of the ordinary for me in regards to this play. The 4th one could easily have been explained by the map timing and predicting player movements based on timer and chokepoints (similar to jungle prediction in high level play even with incomplete map vision). 5th one is same as 4th, normal chokepoint, obvious to keep cursor near corner.

I don't know the spin behind this story exactly or what all the facts are but still.

If you guys haven't already, don't forget to opt into the Overwatch beta selection on Battle.net. I just remembered to check it out while I was messing around on the site.

Wtf.

Its shit like this that makes me appreciate Canadian gun laws.

Even after jumping through all the hoops to get a gun license, It is illegal to have a gun in your house that isn't either locked up in a safe, or is unloaded and trigger-locked without access to ammo within 10 steps.

I mean you're probably preaching to the choir in this thread. I doubt many people in this thread will defend our country's gun laws. Well idk about 6ah,he does live in Texas.

I think restrictions in place for gun types is a bit over done in this country especially in CA. But, I would advocate definitely for insanely strict background testing, along side fire arm competency training, and testing (sort of like Drivers Ed for guns).

Dont get me wrong, i'm from alberta. I'm about as redneck as Canadians come, and personally own 6 guns, and even ahve a restricted fire arms license (and a restricted fire arms travel permit... damn that one took a long as time... so many hoops) but I pretty well just flat out disagree with the fundamental idea that people have the right to bear arms.

I dont think having a firearm is a right, its a responsibility. Its like driving a car, but with significantly smaller margins of error, and much less costly to acquire.

I think the only way it should be legal to have a gun in an area that is not hunting grounds or a shooting range should be under strict legislation. It blows my mind how frequently kids get a hold of hand guns and kill people in the states. It just shouldn't happen.

A lot of it has to do with people acquiring guns without proper training or gun handling skills. It'd be just as irresponsible and stupid to give a brand new teenage driver a ferrari without course time. Imo should also be required to purchase insurance per gun, similar to vehicles. Pretty make similar infrastructure we have now for automobiles, and put it in place for guns.

Even then though, guns escalate any potential conflict by ridiculous amounts.

Imagine if that off-duty police officer (all racial issues aside) in ferguson didn't have a gun on him, the kid swears at the guy, he swears at the kid and thats the end of the story.

Instead, in the heat of the moment the kid goes for the gun and the guy shoots the kid out of fear, someone lost their life for nothing, and now a bunch of riots ensue. If the police officer just didn't have a gun whjile he was off duty its a nothing "man, i ran into the stupidest person today" story for each parties loved ones. No one benefited from that off-duty police officer having a gun in that instant, everyone lost.

a) he wasn't off duty
b) the "kid" (300lb 6'+) instigated the issue physically first by shoving the door close on the officer, and punching the officer while he's still in the car, all before the gun comes into play.
so get the story straight first.

secondly, one of my favorite quotes of all time "God made men, Samuel Colt made them equal."

so i put a bullet where i shoulda out a helmet and i crash my car cause i wanna get carried away
that's why i'm standing on the overpass screaming at myself, hey, I WANNA GET BETTER
