Safely, I'd assume that until recently, most players were in that Bronze 1-Silver 4 range, but due to decay not happening any longer outside of Plat+, the majority are probably in mid Silver? Otherwise no. As for a cheap mage, burn/undertaker mage. Aggro decks by in large are cheaper than control.

I feel it's much better to just start with a very vanilla deck and then tweak it as you notice things, rather than run some pre-fab bullshit you don't understand. Just throw in those three legendaries, the must-have Paladin class cards (Truesilver, Consecration) and the obvious neutral cards (Yeti/Senjin, Knife Juggler, Harvest Golem). Add a bit of spice and you've got yourself a deck. Then you play it, and you'll start to notice things "Oh, I never have a good T3 play" so you try adding Scarlet, or you always get wrecked by minion effects so you throw in some silences.

Mage seems to have two variants, one is the freeze mage which is expensive and the other is a secrets mage which is a cheaper but still not that cheap. Do you have counterspell and Kirin Thor mage? For Zoo check out this: http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/118075-fast-legend-most-consistent-zoo-atm Seems standard list but I can search harder for one if you want On November 15 2014 05:09 Alzadar wrote: Rag, Sylvanas, Tirion is more than enough to kickstart a Control Paladin. Actually don't think Rag is needed, he's really easy to snipe. Lay on Hands is vital and Tirion while strong isn't really a deal breaker. It's more about just having a lot of high value cards than having a few. A control pally deck with only 1-3 threats is very easy to deal with for other control decks like priest/warrior. I'd rather just go with an aggro variant instead. If you want control, priest is prob the cheaper decks to make control out of but it's also a very technical deck.

Its a shame pally control seems so expensive, i love playing pally D: Ye I also like control pally but missing too many cards to make a control deck for it. Same with warrior in fact. Both classes I like the mechanics of but don't have enough to craft. Lay on Hands is slow yes but pally is the lowest class in the game. It serves a dual purpose of getting you through your deck and large hp burst. Pally doesn't really have any other card draw options outside of that and it's a deck that largely is based on answering your opponent instead of putting out threats so you use it to gain a huge card advantage after you exhausted his resources. As a side note I really liked RunandGuns pally deck. It's a slight change to the normal control pally that seems to make it a lot more reliable against faster decks. Wish we could have seen more of it.

Shockadin is still viable, though much less so in the current aggro environment. Again, Control Paladin has a number of major requirements. Yetis in Control Paly as Alzadar suggests is a big no no (if you wanted to make a midrange Paly sure, but not a control Paly: you're sole duty is to drag the game into fatigue with one). Like, this is the standard Control Paly decklist: http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/113168-king-arthur-overnight-legend-s7 A monstrously expensive one. http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/81396-season-8-tauntadin This is a cheaper "control" paladin deck, but also can't really be called control paly. Wouldn't recommend it, but it is good against aggro. On Mage, there are really four variants. Secrets, Freeze (terrible on ladder), Giants/Handmage, Aggro/Burn (typically with undertakers). http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/115458-season-7-legend-aggro-mage http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/115851-aggro-mage-easy-legend Current aggro mage. Both good variants of it. If you don't have secrets or freeze or giants, run this.
