I wasn't in the guild but I maintained the Warrior FAQ for years. There's a shield named after me. I honestly have no idea which of my characters I'll play when I resub, but I'm definitely resubbing at this point. I don't have time to seriously raid again but I haven't been able to find a game that tickles the MMO itch like WoW. Guild Wars 2 was the closest thing. Pretty much every other MMO felt too claustrophobic, too many instanced areas and loading screens make an MMO feel less like a world and more like a series of rooms.

Monte is there any game that you touch that you don't become a patron saint of?

Full time job, gym time, random nights where I'm going to say yes to an activity that isn't raiding(that part is the key one, because it doesn't work so hot with a raid schedule). On an average week I probably still put in something between 16-20hrs gaming, which would be plenty for a solid progression ranking, but I don't want to schedule that time. Then throw in the odd week where I only play Yangostack doto on a weekend or whatever, and it just gets worse.

Optimization and strategy are in my blood. Part of the reason I'm going back to WoW is that during my sabbatical from LoL I haven't found anything that really grabbed me.

When he played Diablo II he made an awesome mod for it that buffed a bunch of the underused stuff for funzies and added a bunch of skill synergies. Gave the game new life for me, anyways, I don't think he ever released it though. edit: bro, if you want a bunch of mechanics to optimize and strategize around Dominions 4 has a bunch of cool stuff. When I started out though I think I read the manual for a few hours to try to wrap my head around everything. ...of course WoW is pretty cool too, I guess.

Best part is that I get to roll on the Wild Magic table a bunch =D Nothing particularly bad has happened because of it yet, but I'm waiting for something hilarious.

When I started out though I think I read the manual for a few hours to try to wrap my head around everything. ...of course WoW is pretty cool too, I guess. Yeah I never released that mod. I was sick of dealing with Battle.net, it's broken economy, and losing characters if I forgot to use them. The problem was playing single player meant having to pray to the gods for the right drops. When I looked for mods that would make the drop rate a little less horrible I found no middle ground between modless and "DROP ALL THE THINGS". So I started with just upping the drop rate a reasonable amount, then I felt like gambling was a little too useless so I made some changes there, then I felt like some skills were too weak and before I knew it I had a crazy balance mod with a couple joke items and all sorts of stuff. I think my most ambitious change was trying to make Jewels that were parts of a set, but to my dismay I discovered that this didn't work appropriately for set bonuses. Right now my 4x/strategy itch is being covered by Crusader Kings II. That game is pretty insane in terms of depth and I've only scratched the tip of the iceberg. However, you'll have to show me Dominions 4 when I come up for our cousin's wedding. Edit: I still actually have that D2 mod and all its files on my laptop. :3

the game is average at best and the connection/server is awful even if servers would work lol is still a better game I'm too lazy to grind hearthstone, so the next expansion is going to finally kill all my decks I feel Isaac I beat Lamb and Isaac a couple times, grinding them out more/with all characters is becoming kind of a chore, but hey at least I'm above 50% completion now At least I still have GW. And lol.
