It's about a 30 minute drive away, and I am a public transit plebe, so I sent out an email asking the other team members if I could hitch a ride. Not a single reply. Wtf? I don't get it. Dress...appropriately Nerds are sexy, and you're all magnificent, beautiful creatures, but let's try and keep this about the games, shall we? Wearing no clothing or sexually suggestive clothing - including lingerie, swimsuits, pasties, and undergarments - is prohibited, as well as any full nude torsos*, which applies to both male and female broadcasters. You may have a great six-pack, but that's better shared on the beach during a 2-on-2 volleyball game blasting "Playing with the Boys." * If it's unbearably hot where you are, and you happen to have your shirt off (guys) or a bikini top (grills), then just crop the webcam to your face. Problem solved. We sell t-shirts, and those are always acceptable. #Kappa I mean, on one hand I get it, but at the same time this isn't exactly going to stop 'attention whore' streams, because I'm pretty sure low-cut and v-cut shirts are perfectly normal female attire that are worn all the time and can't really be policed as long as the web cam isn't zoomed in on the cleavage. Were there really issues with women streaming in sexy lingerie, or topless with pasties? And then there's the admittedly double standard-y topless male thing, but I'm not sure Twitch is going to win any brownie points for trying to be on the forefront of that by telling guys that are more comfortable(and hardly all of them are 'showing off' - hi Vman) playing shirtless to cover up because rules. Like, hypothetically if I streamed, I'd be shirtless, because I'm pretty much always shirtless in my house. I'm not trying to impress anyone now, nor would I be if I magically had a webcam on, it's just how it is. I noted above that I am aware of the double standard of a hypothetical female who also plays her games topless, but that's a huge societal battle I don't think Twitch needs to try and fight. | ||
