You need to earn 600 "coins" to get Platinum, and most games are valued at their retail dollar value + 10--I think the same is true of systems as well but I haven't checked. The count resets every year, so your friend basically had to buy like $500 worth of Nintendo products in the last year to be Platinum in the first place. | ||
