Wtf kind of co-workers do you have that checking an image is too much work. Hopefully that feedback isn't going to scupper promotions and stuff. Or idk, PROMOTIONS.

Gold 2 promo attempts tonight, let's see how hard I get gatekeepered this time

Dunno I just read the names. I guess I could listen to some of them tomorrow at work.
Didn't have any faintness of the whole week-end, but I've been alternating between normal and having an uneasiness related to past anxiety attacks for about a week and it's been more and more present (eg. not only the evening or when trying to sleep anymore). It's pretty annoying. I would have just waited for it to go away (esp. since as long as it's not "on" I know perfectly that it's nothing, but when it is my mind seems to stop believing that) but I guess I'll take more medication than the doc gave me instead of simply to sleep better. Grmpf. Winter is when I'm supposed to feel unwell, and only when the sun is down. >_>

I don't know what I've been doing with my day.

Uh, it's long ('cause I'm bad) and personal stuff so Imma just spoiler it so people can skip it. + Show Spoiler +It's not that much. I mean, I could have had panic attacks for example. As long as I get my mind off of it by doing pretty much anything that asks me to think about it, it comes and goes. One difference is that I think about it more easily during my "well" periods, also because it's there some thoughts about this kind of situation that usually wouldn't do anything now fuel it. Also I've felt unwell even with people around me, which usually offsets it (I think it's strongly tied to isolation/the thought of "if I fainted here/now there wouldn't be any help around") and may make the drive to a client in late August annoying (2 weeks where we'll drive for ~1:30 to go there), considering highway is one of the most annoying places (not much cars/people around to make you feel less isolated, monotonous road in the distance so bigger feeling of being "in the middle of nowhere" and usually longer travels; also I obviously can't stop driving or walk around to do something else like I do otherwise which it way harder to make the feeling go way). I'm supposed to go see family this week-end, not sure about the hour-long drive. The last one (almost 3 weeks ago) was already tense and considering I've worsened since... on the other hand post-poning/cancelling it is a form of "acknowledging" an issue, and that'd only risk strenghening it if in some way I give it legitimacy.
And of course taking almost a hour to fall alseep on top of avoiding anything potentially stressful (a bunch of books/movies/series with grim situations, gloomy settings, or where you're supposed to worry for characters if you get into it, etc. games like League or WoT where my ragey tendencies could surface and make me angrier/more stressed, not sure if I wanna try Umineko) doesn't help just ignoring it until it's not being cared about enough to stay. Maybe it's time I binge on Discworld novels and catch up or something.

If you don't feel comfortable with arena yet just try some ranked ladder for funsies(most players at the low ranks are easy enough to beat even with more cards open to them). Nice thing about arena is the ability to leave mid run if you want to do something else. Which is super awesome.
Yeah hearthstone spectating is so freakin odd to me. Everyone does it differently and each time you gotta adjust. Did they put in an actual spectator mode yet? They should look into it if not, just so the scene which is actually starting to get interesting thanks to naxx cards.
I have a few random adamant torchics with speed boost. If anyone wants um let me know or else I'm wonder trading them this evening. If you're at all serious about being efficient with your gold I don't recommend arena until you know every card and ranked up to a past 15 or so. I'm not saying you can't be successful but it's just a gold sink if you're only getting 2 or 3 wins while you can be playing and earning gold in ranked/unranked.
I don't think this is true. Arena has its own MMR, which in my experience levels out fairly quickly. It seems to try to put you somewhere in the 3-5 range for an average run, regardless of your ability (unless you happen to be at the top). You will probably be able to put together a couple of 9+ runs if you wait for Arena until you have a very firm grasp of the game, but it will level out very quickly. I don't think you'll get significantly more long-term value out of waiting if you learn the game relatively fast. There's a pretty good chance you'll be able to keep ahead of your MMR and stay in the 5-7 win range for awhile.
Not to mention the short-term gains are much higher--you will accrue new cards MUCH faster than just grinding constructed, you will be exposed to more cards and learn the game faster, and you will have to play a variety of different decks, which will keep the game in its honeymoon phase longer.
Although I (and all of the people I know that play) have a very solid background in competitive Magic, so that may significantly color my perception of how fast you'll learn the game.

Arena gives you more cards per gold, but less cards per time because you have to FINISH runs to get your rewards and play a different class.. If you are the kind of player who will play enough HS to finish a full Arena run or more in one sitting, it's going to be worth it. If you're playing 2-3 games a day and not finishing an entire run (meaning that you aren't guaranteed to be able to do all your dailies off it like someone who's finishing an entire run each time would), Constructed is going to be "better" for finishing dailies and getting the baseline daily gold.
On August 05 2014 07:40 OhTwoMise wrote: Arena has its own MMR, which in my experience levels out fairly quickly. AFAIK Arena doesn't have it's own MMR. You're just matched against players with similar wins on your current arena deck (i.e. a deck that's currently 5-0 is likely to face opponents that are also 5-0 on their current decks). As far as I'm aware, long-term performance doesn't factor into opponent selection at all.
In fact, this is almost certainly the case, because if it were true that Arena used its own MMR, high-level streamers that frequently get 12-x Arena runs would run into less bad players for their 0-0 games because the MMR would prevent them from meeting really bad players. But this isn't the case--those high level streamers still get really bad players on their 0-0 games.

Also, if you're bad enough at constructed then you can basically put yourself in ELO Heaven and grind your minimum gold like grinding first win of the day vs bots.

I'll keep that all in mind, I'm pretty new to card games, I played a little yugioh when I was younger, but nothing really serious, and I dabbled in Magic 2012/3 but that was it.
Gahlo, what do you want to watch? I have no idea what to play/do >.>

the frustrating thing about hearthstone for me is when i make adjustments to a deck to counter a specific match up, but don't ever draw those cards in that match up

Oh I'm well aware of how LA can come back and bite you hard. My Lizardman Monk can attest to that. (Although at that point you could argue it was being a monk that killed me haha)
But in the campaign the DM basically said that because we're all LA +1, we don't have to do the LA buyoff rules and he's just going to treat us as LA +0 characters, but with some stat boosts.

Funny story here, so today I received my razer keyboard that I bought on Ebay, and it was "broken". So I contacted the guy and he said he will give me a full refund and that I can just keep the keyboard. Later today I realized that the keyboard is fixable, but I just don't know how to fix it...
