Just watched it. Pretty fun movie few things I didn't like purely because I don't know the source material so the movie doesn't do that good a job of explaining characters/races to you.

Well most people don't give a shit and just want explosions. Just saying it does a poor job of telling you who these people are, what they can do and why they are doing it.
Guess you can't really have this high pace action movie if you include all that. It's a marvel movie at it's heart so I knew it wouldn't tell me these things, brother filled me in on most of it which made me appreciate the movie a bit more. Well appreciate the source maybe?
I mean I know where you're coming from, but I feel that the movie was fine in that regard.
I can admit that we didn't get as much backstory as you might have liked, but frankly I don't think that it was needed. I really felt that the movie stood on it's own and we can learn much about the characters through appearance, mannerisms, etc. I don't think it was necessary for the movie to delve more into those kinds of details as they were sufficient enough to enjoy the movie.
I think part of me saying this is because I might care as much as you as to who those people are, but this is just my two cents on the matter.
Oh yea don't get me wrong. It was an enjoyable movie and I had fun watching it. Think I just would have had a lot more fun if I knew more about what was going on. I don't want to spoil too hard but there were blue people then green girl who is angry at other dude and blue guy with tattoo that is angry at both these people. Also some politics that has no real weight since I know none of the factions. I'm not really expecting them to flesh that out but from what little my brother has told me it sounds like I missed some really interesting stuff by not knowing any of these things.
Those blue guys are so Romulans though. That must be true.

Oh I'm sure there is plenty of interesting for us to gather from the movie that we could have learned but didn't. Of course, I think part of the problem was that it was a two hour long film, so there was only so much you could put in there anyways. And actually, I think that's guaranteed to happen (I mean that it's guaranteed that there's going to be information about the characters that is there that we can't gather from film) as they did a film on characters that already existed outside of film.
Also I don't think Marvel expected anyone to know the source material before viewing the film. At least that's the impression that I got from watching the film, given some of its dialogue choices. The only one who I kind of knew before watching the film was Rocket Raccoon, and that was solely because of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. I'd be willing that most people were in the same boat as me.
K first of all, why so much hate in that poll towards the yung Jeff? I miss him. Second, MB Skullgirls is way too hard for me in general. I've heard online play is basically you bashing your head against people who can all 100-0 you consistently.
