Apologies in advance to Roffles.
Dr. McNinja is pretty funky, it weakens a bit as time goes on though (but that's the usual way with comics that start to care after a "all my cool random ideas shoved in there for sheer coolness" so it's 'k).
Megatokyo, uh... changes a lot after its start. It can pretty easily get perceived as a weaboo attempt at geek meets girl manga, I find it very enjoyable if you put some thought into reading it though, lots of referencing and playing around tropes, not only for funsies, but also because communication and the way expectations shape things (tropes being an integral part of it in media works) is a core theme of the comic.
Oglaf is pretty random. Apparently started out as a wannabee porn comic, quickly turned into irony/sarcasm strips that often revolve around sex topics (less so as it goes on), I don't laugh out loud when reading it but the sheer amount of deadpan is enough to satisfy me.
The Order of the Stick, parodying D&D stuff with stick figures. Good at times.
Darths & Droids, admittedly copied after the excellent DM of the rings, managed the feat of giving a coherent plot and developed supporting characters to Star Wars episodes 1 to 3. They're currently on the 5th, and while it's not as crazy and goofy (mostly because the plot doesn't have as many holes to poke at and fill with their own funky stuff) it's still top level.
Manly Guys Doing Manly Things is quite irregular but has moments of brillance, like this one.
The others I read are more mediocre to bad stuff that I keep reading out of habit because it doesn't take long. I used to follow VG Cats but it only updates once in awhile nowadays. ;_; And that bouletcorp strip read pretty well with Aphromoo's stream's playlist in the background.

And people wonder why I don't listen to rap that often Jesus I wouldn't judge rap by Kanye. He's highly questionable. I don't know shit about rap, but I do know Childish Gambino is the shit. Try that instead. Woah woah woah, slow your roll. Kanye may have a huge ego and some questionable lyrics, but he's one of the best rappers still making music. Gambino is entertaining but some of his lyrics are just as absurd. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is one one of best rap albums made in the last decade. It's fine to not like Kanye because of his attitude, but dude backs up his talk for the most part. Edit: As someone mentioned earlier, all his albums are really solid with the exception of 808s, which isn't even that bad, just different from his other stuff. I re-listened to it recently and was surprised about how much it reminded me of a Drake album. Kanye is a far better producer than a rapper.

Danny Brown is a pretty funny rapper, if you can handle his voice which unfortunately I couldn't it just grated on me too much. It was fine for the one verse on 1train but to listen to his voice for a whole song let alone album is just oh god no. I just listened to xxx for like the second time during my run today, I'm enjoying it, some silly parts for sure. Wanted to listed to it a couple times before I listen to Old. Edit: Also I appreciate the K-Dot love in this thread, brb going to go listen to Rigamortus on repeat for like an hour.
I DID THE SAME THING LAST NIGHT
Round 2 comin in a bit.

Megatokyo went to shit, I stopped reading after the "Yuki is a magical girl" arc. It was great when Largo was actually writing with him, the humor all but stopped after that.
Dr McNinja and OotS are good times tho.
QC is my favorite webcomic out there, Jeph is just the coolest dude. Can't wait for his album to come out.
I just started reading a lot of random ones like Between Failures, Tweep, and Mokepon. LICD is shit but it's a short read. Sinfest is kinda fun but less so nowadays.
But yeah if you like Pokemon you should read Mokepon. It's amazing.

Too bad his other ones were only mediocre though.

I was gonna play pokemon crystal, but golden sun caught my eye. I always wanted to play this!! Golden Sun is great, anyone who likes JRPGs should play the first one. GS:LA was ok (didn't like the story as much), DD was pretty good but super short.

The 2nd tome didn't have the novelty appeal of the 1st's system, but it's very good nevertheless and I thought the plot twist was actually one of the neatest aspects of the duology. + Show Spoiler +Yo the group that kidnapped you and was in part murdered by your buddies were actually trying to save the world, you and they gotta pick up the slack now. Sure it's used sometimes, but for 20 minutes as the introduction to the plot, not like 60% of the game's full length (counting I+II together).

I'll go now. The musical is awesome and you should really go see it in person if you get the chance. The Matilda musical is also very good.
On October 10 2013 04:03 Requizen wrote: I'm bored. What webcomics do you guys read? - xkcd: xkcd is a strange eclectic mix of themes drawn by a former NASA engineer. Witty and insightful at times while also putting a lot of power into stick figures.
- The Illustrated Guide to Criminal Law: Written by a practising lawyer in his spare time, it is a witty and humourous explanation of the American criminal law system. It is also massively insightful into what is normally a boring and dull academic field. If there's anything you try from this list, it's got to be this.
- OotS: Order of the Stick is a DnD based webcomic that's been going on for ages. It has extremely good exposition and deep characters you don't need to know anything about DnD to enjoy it (although you get more of the jokes if you do). The author Rich Burlew has also written a lot of DnD material and is a master of tropes.
- Girl Genius: Still going strong after 11 years, the Girl Genius series is set in a dystopian world of steampunk, magic and craziness. Illustrate by the Foglio couple (who used to do MtG art too!) it's won so many Hugo Awards for art, comic work and story that they removed themselves from nomination because no one else would ever win again if they stayed in the competition.
- NerfNow: Originating as a TF2 comic, NerfNow has evolved over time into covering games of all sorts and generally whatever the author JoP happens to be interested in at the time. It's not humour everyone will get, but it's constantly improving and often acts as a bit of social commentary about the gaming community.
- Erfworld: Starting as an offshoot comic kindly hosted on OotS, Erfworld is another comic about turn based board games and contains many pop culture references. No assumed knowledge is necessary to understand this and it's developing a strong story line where a nerd finds himself transported into a fantasy world and has to fight everything stacked against him. Worth trying.
- Questionable Content: BUTTSBUTTSBUTTSBUTTSBUTTSBUTTSBUTTSBUTTS
- MegaTokyo: He barely ever updates.
- Rare Candy Treatment: It's a Pokemon comic. Not always funny and updates are infrequent, but the art style is nice.

Moonbear, I am disappoint. That's easily one of my least favorite Bloc Party song. Uniform is up there for one of favorites, but all 3 of their first albums are just wrought with amazing songs.
Also, Monday's xkcd was hilarious.

Sorry, it's the first one that came to mind when I saw your post at work. And then I had it stuck in my head for an hour.
Also it seems only 7 people have a DS and a Gen V game. Ok. Details to come soon...
