A couple of them play Legacy, but I don't have the time or money to get into that. Another one plays Modern, but, again, no time and interest really from me right now. It's just that Legacy has a large INITIAL investment. Long-term you pretty much are going to spend more on Standard if you play for more than 2 blocks. | ||

I just personally find Standard the most interesting because of the rotation. I like Modern too, but don't have that much interest in playing it. I'm slowly starting to learn more of the cards in it, so in the future that might be something, but for now, I'll stick to one format. | ||

On a general note of the conversation, I've gotten more open to spending money on hobbies (as exhibited by my recent 40k craze). I understand the trepidation of spending lots of money on what just amounts to entertainment, but I'd rather do that than sit around with my thumb in my ear, telling myself it's ok to be bored because I'm saving money. | ||
