So then you can get good melodies when they publish it. Drums. o7 it's bizarre to me that someone would write a song and decide at some point in the process that the end product would be improved by the inclusion of a weird synthesized voice which i guess is why vocaloid is extremely niche outside of japan, but i'm still confused as to how it got so popular there

I'm discussing with friends going to a Miku concert here in San Diego next month. She's opening for Lady Gaga. Tickets are like 70$ though, that might be out of my giving a shit range. Miku wouldn't be nearly as cool if she wasn't a hologram though. Hologram = awesome. Wait I thought Crayon Pop was opening for Lady Gaga

At this point half of the top 40 in the us is voice altered in some way anyway. A completely fake singer just seems like the next logical step.

But what's cool is, first off, it really is super honest. There's no difference between what the fans think the pop idol is and the actual person playing the role of the idol, because there is no actual person. So you're never going to end up with a crazed mentally broken chick on drugs 10 years later because she couldn't live up to the expectations of her idolizing fans. Second, hologram. Awesome. Apparently the rig to actually create the Miku hologram cost like 5 million dollars and they actually fly it from Japan to do concerts in other countries because that's cheaper than building a new rig.

As I said, seeing the amount of stuff created, I assume the ability to make someone sing stuff you wrote was cool to people. You got a bunch of programs to do music for you, but if you can't sing well enough over it, well tough luck. I'm now on a slam jam spree. This one clicks so well wtf @_@
