Ironically, the fact that it is a translation lent it an alien quality which really served the story well. Again, I don't know the original Japanese, but I might even venture to say that this story works better in English than it did in the original Japanese. Unless, of course, the author was skillful enough to purposefully include the sense of, as Freud says, the uncanny into the story, and the translator was skillful enough to both pick up on it and transmit it faithfully into English. The actual story was decent, but the plot could've been tightened up a bit more and the pacing altered. some things should've been left unsaid/unexplored. Cheesy ending, but there was really no question of that. It was enjoyable enough. | ||

Auchenai soulpriest works with voodoo doctor and earthen ring farseer according to my googlefu, weeeeeeee. But voodoo doctor is still a shitty card. Damn. I want to make a deck revolving around her effect. | ||
