I personally have switched to split-cam + flash media encoder (both of which are free). it's more of a bear to set up, and atm I havn't gotten mic + stereo mix input to work, tho there are some open-source softwares to do this, but i havn't been streaming enough recently to do anything about it. Also, split-cam has advertisements, which is a little weird at first, and image overlays seem a bit buggy atm.

edit: i'm also having some issues saving profile settings in both programs, but i dont kno if that's the program's fault or win8's fault yet.
