Well another day of pretty meh series, but on the plus side a week from now we get clem v serral and hero v rogue.
The TvT game 3 had the makings for potentially the best of the year but Byun decided to force almost entirely marines after the game got back to normalcy. I get not wanting to play heavy tank air superiority battles but not throwing down another starport for ravens to at least have some chance at getting through tanks seems a bit stubborn. A potentially epic game just ended up disappointing.
Not really much to take away from the ZvZ other than game 2 being decent. Rogue defended the early game pretty much as good as you could from that spot, then once the muta war was in full swing there was a brief moment where lambo had the army advantage with upgrades being even, but there is no way of telling so can't really fault him for not sending it. Knowing your behind on eco in a mirror is a tough spot.

Yeah. Clinical play by Serral. Shin even managed to pull off what seemed to be two prepared surprise builds and Serral just reacted so well that Shin achieved nothing.

Rogue still hasn't lost a map this tournament. So either he will continue that streak now and actually qualify for Blizzcon OR Serral will be the same old party-pooper and destroy him in the next match, right?

Great games, game2 Clem Serral was so close, did not expect Serral to claw his way back there

Yeah aside from the game1 eco cheese the series was easily the highest level sc2 to date. So easy to snowball an advantage and neither would make a mistake until the game got big enough. Any other player falls there at multiple points in each game. Pretty incredible to watch.
Thought herO would get 0-3'd but got my hopes up after seeing game 1 figuring he had been hiding and saving that style (Since they played shortly before and he looked like he was just messing around in that series). But.. he never added a bay, archives, or 4th and missed his chance to shove at ~9 minutes to take a very probable win. Then decided to abandon that for the rest of the series and the other two games played out how I thought they would. Though I didn't even mind the 1 base attempt on exarch, that map looks terrible to play.
Hopeful for Clem vs herO. I don't think Rogue beats Clem but I do think Rogue is the only one who has a solid chance at beating Serral this tournament.

Clem v Serral was absolutely nuts.
The last patches felt super close for them... this one favors Serral's playstyle lightly, the other favored Clem's. Now, Clem's aggro is delayed, which gives Serral more time to put up better defenses.
It will be interesting to see, if the French man is able to overcome this deficit, the same way Serral did last patch.
Other than that.. I can only see Serral being knocked out by a coinflippy Zerg match versus Rogue.
herO is able to take Serral down as well, as seen at MotG, but I think Serral will have already adjusted to the style herO threw at him in that tournament. My money is on Serral this time around, as all matches are Bo7 for him from now on. But Clem, herO and Rogue are also hot candidates.

I respect the optimism, but predictably, herO lost to Shin. He simply can't consistently beat Zerg players on this patch (yet?).

Yeah had my hopes up, watched the games didnt look to close sadly. Lets hope for Clem or we will have all zergs

I think it's a rather funny coincidence that the last time SC2 was played at Blizzcon we had BL/Infestor 2.0 and now we're returning with 4 Zergs.

To be fair, Rogue was getting ever better since his return. I am definitely rooting for a rematch at Blizzcon.

Should check out when he won against Serral in BBB a few weeks back, hade one game going late there aswell that was amazing
