Other than him, seems like same players have improved but tbh not Ro8 level. BlizzCon 2019 was the first international tournament where Reynor had good results, he's on another level now. I agree that Clem makes a huge difference, I'm really interested to see if Neeb's return is a fluke because he could be another ro8 player.

That patch to fix pvz by blizzard makes some horrendous pvt :x. This will be way harder for HeroMarine to qualify now

There's structural reasons for why it wouldn't that have nothing to do with the differences between offline/online play. For one this tournament is the low water mark this year for Korean online performance (potentially. If we end up with two Korean finalists people won't remember it that way). The high water mark would be something like King of Battles so even if online and offline were the same we wouldn't expect a repeat of this at Katowice. Additionally a 36 player event with 17 Koreans is more favorable to KR than this 6/16 affair, especially since Korea still has more players able to defeat championship contenders.

Reynor last year could beat anyone really on his day, wouldn’t have him as an overwhelming favourite in many of his series that year though. Feels like 2020 Reynor is getting similar to 2018 Serral, and 2020 Clem’s efforts are quite like 2019 Reynor

There's honestly no excuse to ever lose to proxy voids by not scouting. Especially since Stats literally placed all his buildings like he didn't care if TY found them.

Sure, it's not a 1:1 comparison, and I agree with the points you make. I was mostly commenting on the "fall of Korea" line that the casters and some people are running. Actually, not really sure why you responded like that to my post.
