Allstars: 12:00 CEST (+02:00), October 8 and 9 Playoffs: 12:00 CEST (+02:00), October 10 and 11
Also how is SOS the Allstar Player for JAGW??
Pretty sure the teams can send whichever player they want, and since Maru, Trap and Rogue get more shots at tournaments these days, why not give sOs a chance at winning something.

I asumed it was usually the best player from each playoff team from the regular season. And sOs wasn realy contibuting much to JAGWs regular season. E.:
Going slightly off topic, has Dynamite retired? He did relatively well in the league earlier this year but he never found another team after DLG's dissolution and his last game is four months old.

Perhaps he is retired. When DLG was dissolved, it was said that only one player joined a new team. Later, the only one is SortOf. EF might play Valorant though he still participated in some SC2 tournaments and Dynamite became inactive.

Good start for DPG. I think there was some potential for Firefly to 2-0 given how the game started but that can't be expected. Gonna be rough for AlphaX now.

If you told me two days ago that the finals ace match of GTC was gonna be Time vs Zoun I would've pointed at the dozen champions that were far more likely to be there.

Literally all downhill from here. Chinese casters were very very hype. Can hardly blame them though.
TIME was dead against Nice. He turned that game around. Only because of that was Kaizi even able to reach this ace. And TIME wins it all. He did an amazing job. They brought in Inno to carry, they brought in Solar to carry, but in the end it's TIME who makes the difference.

Wasn't Time himself a later addition? They had Nice (ironic) at the start I think.

TIME joined after Newbee disbanded indeed. But I think nobody would have expected him to be that important for Kaizi finally winning the league.
sick sick sick sick how can I even do this justice?! what a season! GGs to all teams, thanks SCBoy and Wardi and congratz to KaiZi and TIME. this tournament is SO GOOD.

The number of ace matches in honestly crazy. Credit to the tournament organizers I guess, the Bo2 format really encourages it.
Disappointed in Innovation. Kaizi paid the big money to Innovation to be their Ace player, along with Solar. At the end of the AlphaX PartinG showmatch against Innovation, PartinG acknowledged that Protoss has an advantage against Terran in this patch so I understand if Innovation also feels this way about Protoss (Innovation mentioned in the last GSL interview that he struggles against Protoss). But Innovation not coming out against Zoun in the final match was disappointing for what is supposed be the ace player on Kaizi.
Good for Time to step up in Innovation's shoes though. A well deserved victory by Time.

Well it worked, so I imagine it's all smiles now on Kaizi.
But definitely one of those situations where some hard questions and hard looks would be justified if they lost.

Inno was confidence in TvZ right now but not so in TvP. Perhaps, it gave clear signal to the Kaizi Boss to not forcing him from playing in ace match. Trusting in Inno's decision and TIME's willingness to play was some hard decision made by Kaizi Boss even it meant a gamble.

Actually INnoVation is known to be poor in TvP. Even when TvP wasn't so hard he's always strugling with top-tier protoss. Time, on the contrary, is confident in TvP and he recently won a few matches against Zoun. If the ace for AX was Rag, Inno probably did the shot.
If you had listen to their dialog, the team manager also wanted Time to take the show, probably because the Chinese manager wished to utilize this chance to train the Chinese player.
After Newbee disbanded, KZ gaming was setup by a relative of SCBoy as the new team for Time, the Chinese SC2 community figure. The major purpose of this team is to give Time a professional atmosphere to grow up.
Here's my MVP analysis. First, it's def gonna be someone on AlphaX, super clutch the whole way.
I'll assign +1 to each victory against a Korean and -1 to each loss against a non-Korean unless you're a non-Korean yourself. Tiebreaker will be who won the most ace-match.
AlphaX vs BraveStar: Nice 1-1 Cyan no change Zoun 1-1 Dream +1 Zoun Ragnarok 2-0 Scarlett no change Ragnarok 1-1 Dream +1 Rag
AlphaX vs DPG Zoun 1-1 Firefly -1 Zoun Ragnarok 1-1 Cure +1 Rag Nice 1-1 Dark +1 Nice Zoun 1-1 Dark +1 Zoun Ragnarok 1-0 Cure +1 Rag

So Zoun deserves the MVP, but Ragnarok did win 2 ace-matches while Zoun lost 1, so it's a close call.

Ace matches being what they are, I'm inclined to favor Ragnarok over Zoun. Especially since Zoun lost the one that mattered most.

Still leaning towards RagnaroK as well because of the two ace wins. I'd give the entire team the award, but that feels like a lame cop-out even though everyone deserves it.

Yeah, I agree. Another reason I favor Ragnarok is that JinAir possibly didn't send out Maru for the ace match because how potent Ragnarok's ZvT is, and they sent out Trap but still lost. Their best bet was probably Rogue who unfortunately had to play (and lose) two individual tournaments the same day.
The biggest throw of the playoff was DPG and Dark. Not only did Dark lose the critical 2nd game (1 match point) of 2 sets against imo worse opponents by doing all-ins, but also was probably not sent out in the ace match against Ragnarok because of those 2 losses, which would've been Dark favored I think.

Please don't. Time was a special player since he was the only chinese player that can challenge the top tier players, with some stability. That also means he's special to the chinese casters, audience, and the team manager. If Inno stand out (and he has a poor tvp performance over all and did not perform well vs zoun) and he lost, it will be his fault. But if Time go for the ace and he lost, it is understandable and won't be criticized that much in chinese community. And Time did had a better records in tvp as well as vs zoun.(Thanks to practices with Status). In the end, Time for ACE is suggested by time and approved by team manager ("inno or time both fine"). I hope inno can have the confidence to stand out, but his behavior is unsurprising, and shouldn't be criticized. Without inno's effort, time won't even have the chance for the ace fight. An excellent final for all players.

Team League 2020 Second Season Summary DPGaming Esports 2020-10-13 00:16
Hello, everyone, I am the manager of DPG and team leader Enchant. Yesterday the second season of the 2020 Golden Team League ended. We lost to AX in the playoffs and failed to make it to the finals.
This result is a bit surprising to us. Let’s talk about the recent state of our four players.
Firefly: Firefly will complete the team's prescribed amount of practice every day. Recently, he has been in a good form. He often won key games for the team during the regular season. The playoffs drew with Zoun 1-1 and completed the task well.
PartinG: PartinG has recently been in a sluggish state, and his physical and mental conditions are not good. Although he maintains a certain ladder practice, physical rehabilitation training takes up most of his energy. For this playoff we only let him prepare for specific confrontations. But unfortunately he didn't get a chance to play
Dark: Dark has always been the hardest working player in our team. He will complete the amount of practice set by the team every day. Recently, he has practiced more than 30 sets a day for the GSL and GTC playoffs. The ladder has also reached nearly 7000 points, but GSL is again being out in the top 16 was a big blow to him and his performance in the playoffs was not ideal.
Cure: Cure was a bit slack after the third season of GSL. After I talked to him, he resumed high-intensity practice, and even beat Serral and Reynor in the KOB game, showing a good competitive state, but his new style of play was exposed too early, and was perfectly solved in the ace match by RNK
Let's talk about yesterday's game. After knowing the opponents, Firefly immediately started to practice and prepare with PartinG. The result was great, and he drew with Zoun 1-1 to complete the task successfully. In the second game, there was no map ban in bo2, so Cure lost one point on the ZVT advantage map picked by RNK, and the score became 1-1. If Cure's loss to Rnk was expected, Dark's loss surprised me. After winning the first map, Dark made the big move of the proxy hatchery and spine crawlers on the map selected by Nice. My understanding is that Dark feels that he has lost to Nice in the regular season on this map, so instead of passive defense, he took the initiative to attack. Dark's has always liked to take the initiative in his own hands. But it’s a pity that this tactic did not work. After the game, Dark told me he's sorry and it was his fault. He was sad. The tactics against nice on the submarine were prepared by him for the gsl against trap. It was not a whim. In the final ACE game Cure vs RNK, Cure used his newly-developed fast 3 base followed by quick-burrow mine drops. This tactic also helped him win the Serral and Reynor streak, but I feel that Rnk already knew the correct way to deal with it. After figuring out the style of the Terran and Protoss, the Zerg player can make targeted defenses. In the end, Cure's harassment play was not effective. Unfortunately, our playoff journey stopped here.
After we lost the playoffs, I saw fans questioning Dark's performance. I want to talk about the Dark players in my eyes as the team manager. Before I took over DPG, I heard some negative news about Dark, but Dark was very polite, obeyed management, and cooperated very well with the team. Our team requires Korean players to train no less than 20 games a day. Replays will be sent to the designated mailbox after the training every day. Dark will send practice videos on time every day, which is the most self-disciplined of all players. In the more than ten days approaching the GSL and GTC playoffs, Dark’s hand injury was a bit recurrent, but he still maintained a training of about 30 sets a day while being treated. During the Korean Mid-Autumn Festival, other players took leave and rest. This is still the case. This is why I trust his strength as a team manager. Whenever he hits an ace game, Dark always says "me gogo" without giving up.
But having said that, although Dark's performance is quite professional, it is an indisputable fact that his performance in the tournaments this year has been getting worse and worse. From the runner-up of the GSL Super Tournament at the beginning of the year to the consecutive top 16 in the second and third seasons of GSL, and then In the team game, he lost to Nice and Zoun, so his next contract is bound to cut his salary.
Having said so much, I just want to give an explanation to the friends who support and care about our DPG, so that everyone can learn more about our team. If you have any questions about the team, please leave a message and reply.
We will definitely make a comeback next season and win the crown again.

We will definitely make a comeback next season and win the crown again.
Hmm the manager should also credited DPG's success crowned as a champion last season were due to the Dark's performance. I believed that cutting player's salary would let player down some more and this might not the best decision.
Very sad to hear that Dark's hand is bothering him so much again.
And even more sad that the team wants to cut his salary even while acknowledging that his work ethic is impeccable and that his performance problem are (at least partly) due to his injury.
DPG is really serious about their players. They want them to practice so hard ! I didn't expected this but it's really interresting to go "inside" a pro team
