What a weirdly stacked RO16 after we complained about the player-base thinning out for like 2 years ^_^

The thinning out is more noticeable in the Ro24 obviously.

Is Trap still on his Inca remembrance trip he‘s been vs. Serral a few weeks ago or has he improved the matchup? If that‘s what his play still looks like, it‘s at least certain as to who doesn‘t make it out of group D.

Because losing to Serral is a hallmark of being bad in vZ match-ups especially when it was right after he demolished Reynor.

Well, OTOH Trap is known for being bad in PvZ. Considering he's otherwise a very good player. Similarily Maru is great in TvP until he plays Parting. For w/e reason.

Trap was really bad in PvZ for the longest time but his recent results are cause for optimism. I've seen him play some really sick games.

Also it's not like Maru has been manhandling top Zergs anywhere.

lets see how good dude is gonna perform without his practice buddy rogue : ]

Fwiw i don't think losing to Dark/Rogue would debung any claim that trap has very good or the best pvz seeing how those 2 can play ZvP.

Trap can go toe to toe with Reynor and Serral, he can also go toe to toe with Dark and Rogue. Group D will be awsome. If there is one player slacking behind the other 3, it s Inno.

Oh you can't rely on anything in that group. By recent form Inno looked weak, but he's generally good in GSL group stages. Rogue has his occasional days where he just half-asses stuff and gets eliminated in way weaker groups than this one. Dark hasn't been too hot lately (he was on the verge of going 1-2 against Nice in GTC yesterday). Trap is the most steady player in the group actually but it's still bad for him.

why? I actually believe they gonna try to push both trough via the team magic(it worked for groups where was Rogue & Maru)
I imagine France should be able to take this unless Lilbow is busy practicing for Starcraft III. | KadaverBB is my fairy ban mother.

Overall I think the groups are okay. There are no groups where one race is strongly overrepresented, which is a good thing. And I am kind of happy that both Armani and Zoun got into a group they could potentially advance from. They might not be favoured there, but I could see group A go pretty much any way possible. Overall I would argue that the groups might not be even in pure strength of the groups, but within the groups players seem kinda well matched, imo. I wouldn‘t bet on anyone to make it out of his group, nor would I bet on someone dropping out.

Well TY is kinda pretty clearly a different tier than the rest of his group.

Ok so I just watched Patience vs Parting game 1.

I think that's one of the best PvPs I've ever seen.

It's better to use the number of WC titles and Code S titles IMO

This was a pretty fun group. Everybody in it played quite well. Feel bad for Bunny but he just wasn't on the level of the others. Patience played quite well and put up a good fight against Parting and Byun. Byun looked solid overall. His weaknesses are still present but he's got lots of time to fix that now.
