I think, for some players, military service make them stronger mentally and physically, and it does have its benefits in a game like StarCraft2. The mechanics of sc2 are like riding a bicycle anyways. The person DRG is today is just way stronger than the person DRG was in the past, and its making him have a higher skill ceiling in StarCraft now than in the past. /tinfoil hat off I do think in 1-2 years, Europe will be a stronger region than Korea. | ||

No, this is the mouse in the elephant's room. ESF players are better after all. They can go away for years and still win, KeSPA players can't do that  | ||

Like look at DRG's play here, there's nothing "gimmicky" about it, he just straight up macro'd his heart out and won Like the last game, once you beat that Terran mech army maybe someone who's played a lot would feel, okay, I can macro back up and do whatever I want to win, but DRG smelled blood and went with it, and was rewarded? The same thing I'm thinking about Parting and his Blink stalkers play - many Protosses have tried that tactic and failed, but Parting just seems to be able to eek out a win, maybe less "practice" made him more close to his instincts to say "this is the right time, right amount of stalkers, let's go" and it messes with people who practice a type of play or a type of build a lot? | ||
