The clean wins aren't great for the tournament I think. At least I imagine these long ass breaks are because they planned the tournament to go for a certain duration.

Clean wins are good for Chinese audience and the players in some ways. It's 10:30 pm in China now,if the score was close, today's match might end up at 1 or 2 am next day.I start to feel tired now and I have to go to bed.
TBH I think the schedule is rather bad. They shouldn't have the matches finished in one day,or they should start at morning.

No, I meant the stream often has 20+ minute breaks and similar stuff due to the games going too quick. As far as I know they were expecting 8 hours of SC2, which 8 bo3s aren't nearly enough to fill. But yes, both games going 4-3 would've been hard even with very small breaks. It's tough to make a good schedule.

Yep, I agree the downtime is pretty tough. Hopefully they'll continue to improve the scheduling next season, though team leagues are always tough to schedule with a good pace. Proleague had it pretty good but those were Bo1s

I, for one, would like to thank our Chinese overlords for making the schedule perfect for us European viewers. However the live audience would be screwed at this pace.

Patience is pretty good, I think he's better than Dear. Expecting him to finish this now.

Perfect tournament planning, 8 hours like they planned.

Nah late night travel in Shanghai for the most part is not terrible, sure it's expensive but not going to break anyone's bank.

The schedule was three days earliest, one for Semifinal 1, one for Semifinal 2, one for Final.
However, it became two days due to unknown reasons.
I love SC2

Because GSL RO4 starts at the next day. The two events would conflict if they don't squeeze into two days time.
