Yes. It guarantees one in the ro4 which means they just need one upset to make it to the finals.

So much whine about the brackets i can't believe. Brackets are fine. Blame Ty and Stats for losing to Special, blame Stats for losing to TY, and blame Dark for losing against Elazer. It's their fault they got only second places or eliminated...

It's delusional to think Blizzard rigged the bracket, regardless of whether they "benefit" from how the draw ended up.
The fact is, with the no rematch rule until the finals, these brackets are pretty predictable. Once all the players made it out of their groups, it was basically impossible to get the dream bracket people wanted. A lot of the bracket luck started with the drawing of the original groups.

soO isn't one of my favorite players but i would be really sad to see him retire after blizzcon which seems like something he has been considering

I doubt soO's spirit can be broken at this point. He carries all his second places with him, so what's one more.
That being said I do hope he wins, though this bracket looks frighteningly like yet another second place.
