the difference between Has and Shura though is that she spreads stasis wards like creep while playing that style. she had 60 active in 1 game

I just got in to LotV, but if this is a "legit" build, I hope that Blizzard will change something. It's more interesting to watch when you have to use more units, and air units in general are pretty boring to watch.

I think that for the basic units (lings, marines etc) it makes sense that massing them can be a legit strat
When it's with units designed for harass/support it can get frustrating

He did that twice against Zanster
G1: Cannonrush -> Oracle -> More Stargates -> Mass Oracle -> Mass Carrier
G2: Cannonrush -> Oracle -> More Stargates -> Mass Oracle -> Mass Phoenix (vs Muta) -> Mass Voidray (vs Cor)
Its amazing how many solutions the Stargate tech has in store. ^^

Right now the only real counter is hoping they all get fungalled. Unfortunately, Fungal won't affect air after Blizzcon, so it's only going to get worse.

Sure, the exact numbers aren't really that important though imo. In my eyes flying units should basically always lose these engagements in head on fights. The strength should be abusing terrain. The more mobile you are the more dangerous it is to also be strong in direct engagements.

I agree. But in this case Has's army was vastly more expensive. If you're on the same income, 26 oracles is the same as around 59 hydras, almost double what TLO had. And zerg should typically have slighty larger income anyway.
I do think that mass oracle is slightly overpowered btw, but Has was just so far ahead in that game anyway
btw, I don't play zerg but would 39 mutas beat 36 hydras?

Yes it was more expensive, but the cost of an army alone doesn't mean it should beat the other army. Oracles cost a lot because they fly and have utility outside of their attack. You cannot just look at the army cost and say "well it costs more it should beat the other army".
And no i don't think the mutas would win that

Scarlett will have a hard time (I'll give 50:50 for scarlett vs harstem)
I think Nerchio is the favorite in Nerchio vs Cham. Especially since Cham doesn't like the ling bane phase of ZvZ and Nerchio excels in this phase (which is hard to avoid). And its not like Nerchio can't play macro games.
I see Kela winning Showtime, but Showtime is the favorite there. Showtime is in a very good form.
We'll also see how well Elazer stepped up his ZvT.

The scenario where Special loses his spot is Kela winning ShowTime, Snute and True get to the semis, and someone out of the top 16 winning the whole thing. And this guy cannon be ShowTime as he has to lose to Kela, so I think its theoretically possible but not in practice.
