I'm in the top 20 LB, most of these bets are okay but Maru winning is a big gamble, why did I do that .

I think it's cool to have a single rush map in the pool as long as it's not blatantly imbalanced. Something different than all the standard macro maps all the time.

Haha true i guess maybe wasn't full original Maru. As others stated the drop sniping 4 pylons and 2-2 was pretty well timed. Making him able to take a fight with plus 1 vikings and melt the protoss army.

Exactly. Key to Maru winning the last fight. + delaying maybe the templar tech although maru's timing was perhaps coming before that anyway.

yeah I don't think Maru wins the last fight if he's not 2-2 vs 1-1

at some point I thought Maru was going to pull scvs (when he was building the 2 ghosts), did anyone have the same idea ?

Well the general consensus seems to be that the time travel idea is really smart and cool but every other aspect of the game is sub-par at best.

I don't know, I have a strange fetish for obscure games with weird ideas and subpar execution. I even enjoyed Daikatana back in the day, although I was lucky enough not to encounter many of the bugs and crashes that others did. Might be keeping tabs on this to see if it ever hits a miraculous 90% off discount.

Hm i mean the idea might be nice but i cannot deal with games which don't let me micro the units at all. Which is like 90% of all the rts games though :/

I don't know what RTS you played, most of the old ones definitely had some micro. Not Muta micro or Vulture patrol level but still...

Hahahaha

I can already tell by the pictures that this is one of the many "no micro allowed" rts games.

I remember how angry I was that the idea of unit control in the first DoW was pressing the button to use a formation

I don't know what RTS you played, most of the old ones definitely had some micro. Not Muta micro or Vulture patrol level but still...

More talking about the newer things here. Grey goo, etc. Potential games which could have a scene now you know

Hehe. I really don't get it, fun unit interactions and micro is what makes mobas shine. RTS games should try it.

You have to keep in mind that Solar hasn't been ahead in economy in this game for last 12 minutes.

Solar refused to make the spire for too long. He had a window after several good fights but maybe he thought he could finish inno with his comp. But then late game happened.

You can't attack a planetary with ranged liberators sitting behind it. They lead you speak of would have evaporated in a second. He never attacked because he didn't have the economy to replace his army if he threw it all into an entrenched position. Add in the fact that it's Abyssal Reef and there are almost no good places to attack and you see how Solar was never able to close things out.

I mean i get the idea, ofc planetaries plus libs are good in a defensive position. I would need to watch it once more a bit more closely, but right now i think there could have been an option to do SOMETHING with the lead.

Or "Planetary Fortress" and "Liberator", because Solar was never able to attack and kill Inno because of them. This game had nothing to do with Inno's endurance.

Solar didn't even try to find an opening really. He was so far ahead in army supply. Hydras can kill liberators.
Dunno i think Solar threw that game

You can't attack a planetary with ranged liberators sitting behind it. They lead you speak of would have evaporated in a second. He never attacked because he didn't have the economy to replace his army if he threw it all into an entrenched position. Add in the fact that it's Abyssal Reef and there are almost no good places to attack and you see how Solar was never able to close things out.

I mean i get the idea, ofc planetaries plus libs are good in a defensive position. I would need to watch it once more a bit more closely, but right now i think there could have been an option to do SOMETHING with the lead.

Agreed. Build spire and corruptors to deal more effectively with air

No income, inno would have just made vikings...
He needed to break him then and there after killing the first army. When he couldn't, the game was over.

At some point Solar had won a few fights and had a lead with income.

What about potentially going for the main? With the big army lead that seems possible, maybe? Ofc solar doesn't have perfect information

Going into those chokes against liberators? Seems like another way to die. The answer is that Solar needed a superior economy to fight/remax multiple times with various comps and wear Inno down. He went into that stage at an economic disadvantage though and was never able to win because of it.

I mean they have to be in position for that, you cannot simply say "libs" no matter where solar could attack
The point is that Solar could try something, he doesn't have to fully commit if it doesn't work. Not doing anything loses the game

Hahaha Maru managed to beat Stats!
But Dark lost to Dear and aLive lost to ByuL so I only have 3/5 LB :/.
How many of you guys managed to have 4 or 5 right bets that session?

Ok Innovation still in it for the possible playoffs
Title defense still doable

Ughh. I seriously hate Solar's ability to switch between the best ZvT and being utterly useless.

Worth noting that Solar's throw against Inno denied Maru getting to the playoffs and overtaking Solar in WCS points. Doubt that was his plan though

of course, but don't forget liquid bias U_u everything that'll belittle Inno's game is ok

I mean i am totally fine with Inno doing it, i want the title defense.
If Dark loses to Solar Inno doesn't even have to win the match vs classic, sounds like a realistic scenario tbh

I don't think dark will lose. But if Dark 2-0 Solar and INno just 2-1 Classic, they'll be at same map score, who will pass?

I think there is a good chance that Dark loses to Solar. Ofc one cannot bank on that, so Inno should certainly win vs classic, preferably 2-0.
I think head to head would be the deciding factor, Dark won vs Inno.

Inno typically beats Classic. I would also have to favor Solar over Dark in ZvZ. Still, next Monday is definitely the moment of truth.

Classic has been looking so good though. It could be a 2-0 or 2-1 either way.

Dark vs Solar could also go either way because Solar is the most inconsistant zerg in korea right now.

Even if Inno does make it I don't think he wins. He'd have to beat Dear, Classic, and Stats. TvP isn't the kind of matchup you can win that many in a row

Well i think Inno is the best in the world, but yeah winning three in a row is certainly a challenge and whoever takes the first place in RR has the big advantage obviously.

What happenes in a scenario where Inno wins 2-0 and Dear loses 0-2?

Doesn't that make Inno second behind Stats?

He's been losing a lot to Zest and Stats recently right? Even if he generally beats them in maps, it's unlikely he takes 4 TvPs in a row (Classic, Dear, Classic again, Stats). If it were 4 zerg or terran however I think he would win another season

If Inno wins 2-0 then Dear only has to lose for Inno to be second because Inno would have +6 mapscore and Dear could only have +4 max.
