Rogue is in great form, and he beat Gumiho in GSL. I'd expect him to advance with Stats. TY hasn't shown much recently while Penguin and Bunny are both on the rise, but I doubt he's fallen far enough to lose to them.

ESL has clearly put SC2 on the back burner for a while now.They only run an offline event for the game 2-3 times a year down from 10-15 back when there were 4 IEM's and 6 WCS seasons they covered. They've diverted resources to games like CS:GO, games where they can actually make money.

u cant scout. attacking 4th vs zerg is almost impossible cause they just run by its a mix of aiur and oddysey on 1 map for some reason map mapers think all maps should be huge. yet best map so far in recent years is abyssal and its not a huge map. alas
The map contests are built in a way that only huge beachy macro maps can win unfortunately.
It's borderline all that can participate.

It wasn't for long. They removed that requirement half-way through the week they gave mapmakers to prepare their maps.

Maybe we'd have good new mid-sized maps if there was a category for them in the TLMC. How many standard mid-sized maps have there been over the past two TLMCs? Only two that I remember: Hwangsan and Annihilation Station.

It would be such a hype if they tried to tell the story of Stats crawling back, barely fighting off attacks, teching and harassing while IAsonu tried to throw everything and the kitchen sink into Stats. i feel it's really bad to go lings/banes with SHs. Not only do they not share the same upgrades, but they're both suceptible to storm. If he went for infestors/roaches with his SHs (which he can afford since SHs don't need money to function), he'd have pinned everything down and roaches would have sniped off the immortals.

The best part was still when ToD said iA never took any damage from the harass as he was sitting there, losing out on the game because his drone count got dwindled down to 35.

This is the reason why ToD never finished a game and always went for harass. He didn't know he was doing damage.

Because iAsonu is graduated from a famous university , and English is a required course in every university of China.
I was totally expecting that TY and Dark would advance. But what about the second group? I was totally expecting Stats and Gumiho to advance. I feel a bit sad for them but that's awsome for IAsonu and Rogue.

Stats got mind-gamed by Rogue and iAsonu, and made to look like a fool. But that happens to the top players, now and then. Just like how uThermal cheese a game off Zest in HSC.
Stats wasn't playing great, but wasn't showing any 'slump' plays either. In a longer series, he would've beaten both players on today's form. Nothing to worry much, for a Stats fan. Though he seriously should scout more against lesser players.
