Because most people thought KeeN was bad so most people thought she "only" had to beat Classic, which is on paper feasible. Since she took a game off of Stats it's not that far fetched, unfortunately for her KeeN proved to be a good terran, albeit mediocre compared to the big ones... but KR still has depth.

The worst that could happen would be what happened to Scarlett. You only lose 1-2 to the seemingly best player, but then get 2-0ed by the one player you thought you would beat. He has to beat 2 players to advance and has to play different match ups. If he has a good momentum while his opponent has a bad one he can do it. I believe!

Adepts are one of the most micro intensive units in the game, shading and targeting properly takes a huge amount of multitasking. However, it isn't good for spectators to see, it just looks like the Protoss is pressing F randomly around the map.

That's why even during infestor broodlord and mass swarmhost epic lame-fests, there were players who would consistently play that style because it was the best chance of winning. It didn't matter how much the viewer hated it.

I absolutely agree, for the competitors it's about winning, but for the game developers it's about making a good show (which is why people complain about adepts, we're not blaming the player, we want Blizzard to adjust it)

I thought the engagements went pretty well for ByuN. He killed a lot of phoenixes which are the units that are hard to reproduce. He was down in eco, but he was in a good place army-wise.

yeah but it's his playstyle to always be in his opponents face. and tbf it's what gave him so much success. doesn't work out well in every game though.

Carriers counter everything Protoss. The more carriers you have the better you are off. Tempests are good in PvP since when the ground is clogged up with disruptors and the likes they break parity, but they still only have the DPS of a stimmed marine so ground units still have a role.

Interesting choice. I guess they rank results from GSL and Super Tournament as well (aLive was runner-up at ST). Ro16 this season is overall more solid than last one. Will be a tough job as a seed to pick weaker player. We may have all-around awesome groups for Ro16.
