These brackets... foreigners vs Dark and KT vs ByuN.

Man those brackets bum me out big time, would've rather seen a Nerchio v T, Dark v Stats, and Neeb v P set of matchups!

TY v Showtime would've also been pretty cool

Here is a way worse way it could have been:
Dark - Neeb
TY - Byun

Showtime - Elazer
Zest - Stats

In other words, Dark, TY, and Byun on the same side of the bracket.
The way it is now Dark can meet one of the other two terrans in the finals, and if Dark or one of the Terrans don't reach it they have proven to be not worth for a final.

Aligulac stats are just a bonus, kind of like for ByuN.

I dunno what games you saw but most proleague games are simpler. They stick to the current meta like butter on bread. I just don't believe that after Dark conquered Korea as far as Starleagues go, that Nerchio can be considered better by merely drawing with the top of europe (and losing to most Koreans).

I can see a 3:0 for Dark happening. If Neeb can't beat True or Scarlett or Snute, and almost lost to Pet. I have little faith in him taking out Dark (who currently beats litterally every Korean protoss).
Zest, sOs, PartinG, Dark, and Maru are the real champs. ROOT_herO is overrated. Snute, Serral, and Scarlett are the foreigner GOATs

Even if Nerchio has qualified he could only play Showtime, Zest, or Dark, so Nerchio vs a terran could have happen only in the semis, and that terran would have been Byun in case that scenario happened.

Showtime vs TY wasn't possible either.
Neeb had a 33% for a P, and that P was Showtime, so it isn't a miracle it didn't happen.

I disagree. We get see TY (aka the best terran) have an epic TvT against the 2nd best Terran (ByuN) then we get an epic TvP against the best Protoss (Zest/maybe Stats), then we get an epic TvZ against the best Zerg (Dark).

As a terran this will be an amazing run from TY. he litterally has to play the best TvT>TvP>TvZ of his life.

I agree that it looks grim with recent results, but they don't mean that much seeing how ShoWTime performed badly recently yet was still able to defeat ByuN.
The thing to remember is that Neeb said he wasn't confident in PvZ... yet wasn't scared by Dark. That says much imo.
However I still see a 3:0 for Dark possible, it's a perfectly valid point of view, even a safer bet for most people, but I'm pretty confident Neeb will be able to "upset" him.

edit: I know everyone says Neeb, but Neeb has yet to prove he can beat Korean Zerg's. Even Pet almost took him out of kespa cup

He beat Rogue and Pet afaik, and was sometimes able to beat Nerchio, the best ZvPer in the world.

Disagree a lot. Rogue and pet have nothing on Dark, litterally nothing. And Nerchio is not the best ZvPer in the world. Why is Nerchio considered by everyone to be the best ZvP/T in the world? He has never shown he can beat top Korean terran or protoss like Dark does on a regular basis.

Nerchio has better vP/vT (and even vZ lol) than Dark on aligulac.
Plus if you watch the games you realize that he is straight up better. He was able to beat Neeb in bo5!

Aligulac overrates foreigners vs. koreans. Subtract 100 point from Nerchio's rankings and you get a better comparison.

SHoWtimE played quite normally for him though. It was more a failure from ByuN tbh.

And come on Neeb saying he doesn't find Dark scary means nothing. Heck Elazer said he'd be confident against TY then basically broke down any chance he had. It's honestly just that Neeb has never beaten a top Korean Zerg in his whole career. He might be very good PvZ but if he does he ain't seen it yet. And if scarlett, true, and snute can own him.....

Even his invincible PvP has shown it can be worked around, with Zest schooling him and Patience beating him in a disruptor/blink game.

Neeb is roughly 50-50 against mediocre zerg players like Scarlett and True over a pretty large sample size and has within the last 3 weeks lost to both of them in their most recent encounters (bo5s).

But he doesn't find Dark scary, so let's ignore all of his recent PvZ results. /s

Dark is like 80% to take that series. I am probably gonna bet money on it when the bookmakers opens the line because I expect they will only give Dark like a 60-40 edge.

Do Snute and Nerchio not get along ? For Snute to say these things on social media, it must be pretty serious.
