wow, didn't expect Elazer to beat Nerchio. But considering it's the matchup in which Solar lost to Elazer and Nerchio I shouldn't be to surprised.

I cannot see ByuN beating TY or Zest tbh. His best chance is TY>Stats but even then. We're almost garanteed a Dark TY final.

It'll be super hard for Dark considering all three foreigners in his side of the bracket can beat him. I'd say Elazer is favored against him in bo3 (when playing two ZvZ in a row against Nerchio/Elazer the same day) but not really in bo5 (Dark will have the time to watch Elazer play and adapt enough to beat him, or even beat him while offracing terran), ShoWTime it's even and Neeb 70-30 for Neeb.

Here ya go I screenshotted this of liquipedia next week
edit: I messed up the Neeb Dark score. I know everyone says Neeb, but Neeb has yet to prove he can beat Korean Zerg's. Even Pet almost took him out of kespa cup

Disagree a lot. Rogue and pet have nothing on Dark, litterally nothing. And Nerchio is not the best ZvPer in the world. Why is Nerchio considered by everyone to be the best ZvP/T in the world? He has never shown he can beat top Korean terran or protoss like Dark does on a regular basis.

oh f*ck neeb vs dark

Plus if you watch the games you realize that he is straight up better. He was able to beat Neeb in bo5!

That doesn't make him the best. Remember Koreans and Europeans haven't been able to fight this year almost at all. Dark destroyed Stats, Zest, TY, ByuN, Classic, Solar and others on his way to wins in Korea. Nerchio has shown nothing close to that. Nerchio has beaten Classic, and lost to Patience Maru and TY in a row.
I do not agree than Nerchio having a lot of wins in online cups means he can be called the best Zerg player when he can't perform in real tournaments. NErchio beats or draws with european players. Dark kills everyone in Korea. Clear difference there

Showtime could play either Elazer, Neeb, or Stats, in other words its a 66% for him to play a foreigner, not a surprise at all.

Edit: whoops forgot he couldnt play vs byun either. yeah really stupid tweet by thorin

Thorin is edgy because it sells. He is payed to be edgy (less edgy then on twitter) at desks, but still edgy enough to generate social media talk. The more edgy he is on Twitter, the more people will retweet, follow and answered and thus be in the talks. In the end it is some kind of trumpism. And it works.

Dark kills everyone in Korea. Clear difference there Dark points mainly come from the fact that in early LotV where P/Z were destroying terran so easily that SSL was almost only P/Z, which he got most of his points from. He is a bit overrated because he is the least bad looking zerg in Korea, but top EU zergs can be as good as him or even better. EU is very solid (as evidenced by ShoWTime) so having draw against top EU players isn't necessarily a bad thing ^^

The very best EU players (showtime and nerchio) are capable of playing against/beating Koreans. That's it. Other than them the level of play in Korea is so much higher. When has Nerchio proven he can beat top korean protoss or terran? never. The only wins of his career are Classic and Solar (2 very well earned wins) and his losses include Patience TY and Maru, it's nothing compared to Dark litterally beating every top Korean player (Zest, Stats, TY, ByuN etc).
I'm not saying drawing with EU players in bad, Nerchio is the best european player. But you cannot say he's better than Dark based of results within the EU playerbase. Same with Neeb, he has not proved he can beat top Korean Terran or Zerg yet people say he can based of him beating EU players.
edit: tldr: Nerchio has high winrates because he plays in EU/online cups so much. Dark beats every Korean player in real tournaments which is somethign Nerchio couldn't dream of. Until Nerchio actually starts beating Korean protoss or terran, you can't call him the best ZvP/T in the world

I call him and Neeb the best at this matchup because I watched their entire bo5 at a foreign tournament earlier this year (and that's rare considering I barely watch non T matchups) and was amazed by what they were able to produce in game... Then I watched some proleague ZvP and the level was so horrible (wasn't top tier koreans but still decent, like Classic or Stats?) that I wondered if it was matchfixed or if they really became as bad as that. I have my answer now :x. Aligulac stats are just a bonus, kind of like for ByuN.

Can't belive it, all my hype is lost.... Was hyped for a stacked tournament were we could see the best foreigner vs Koreans. Now we get foreing half and Korean half... And a TvT, fml...
