It's tough...because in a way I think all the matches should be bo5, but I think bo3 group stage is fair because everyone is guaranteed 4 games, whereas with previous iterations it was only a 3 guaranteed game series.
But at the same time it sucks to go out on just two bo3, where if they had longer series, then they could have done better.

Almost every series so far has been one sided either way. The only results that might have changed in a bo5 is Solar vs Elazer/Nerch, and Snute vs Drogo.
I fully believe there would not have been a difference in overall group results if they were all bo5
