Trying to analyze something you don't understand leads to the viewers parroting the caster and bashing the player on chat/forums for something they're not even doing wrong. Like making the 5-8 mutas every macro pvz;; It's just required or you can't win against warp prism

It seems to me like it means that if someone's having an off day, they're out of the tournament, but if someone's on fire one day, it doesn't secure them their spot. Not that it's a problem for me, I just find it a bit strange.

And that' simply bullshit. That's type of dynamic means that casters can be so complacement because they can never do anything wrong. So rather than taking Incontrol's side while having no clue what's right or wrong, the appropriate response would be to ask Scarlett to explain what she thought was wrong with the casting.

Scarlett: no caster understands this game at a high pro gamer level. None. But we are meant to give our opinions and do our best to analyze games while being entertaining. Not liking us for being wrong on something is fine.. thinking we shouldn't say things we don't know for a fact is dumb. Saying we shouldn't analyze something "too far" (whatever that means, applying subjective terms here?) is also dumb. Especially under the guise of "that player will catch flak" uh hello.. we all catch fucking flak. I don't see you defending casters here? If I think snute is making a mistake I'm not going to be like "well he is smarter than me so I must be wrong" and not comment on it. Anyways I think you know these things it was just cool to complain for a minute I guess?

I don't get riled up at the monitor when a caster is missing something that I see. I however, do get riled up when I see this caster combo + Show Spoiler + ![]()

![]() You aren't wrong .. I was mostly poking fun at Scarlett hence me taking what she said and changing it. Ultimately in a perfect world we wouldn't miss analyze something or just know more.. but part of being a sc2 caster IS working through techs/choices and discussing them. Just like in a perfect world I wouldn't have to keep reminding people we are entertainers and not perfect analytical machines. Anyways aside from mediocre games I thought today was awesome. Cheering for neeb and I'm hoping drogo keeps the dream alive

Cheering for neeb and I'm hoping drogo keeps the dream alive agree with this. Also casters may not have the knowledge of pro players but they still know more than 99% of the viewers so it's completely fine for them to analyze things On October 28 2016 12:00 PtitDrogo wrote: In the middle of game 2 when I was down 80 supply I was about to gg but the legendary TL poll gave me the strenght to bring it back thanks guys. wp
