So yesterday I spent like an hour in the unit tester playing around with adepts (because PvP became mass adepts and I wanted to see why) and I learned that if you get shaded on and use hold position, most of the time you will bug out some adepts so they can't attack you and you trade better as a result.

Classic's ultimate army wasn't complete yet. Also I don't think he controlled it as well as he should have. He flew a tempest into spore range at least once.

Hmm I think he controlled it rather OK, he flew tmepest into spores for couple seconds but lost only one. Other than that the storms were decent, positioning seemed fine.
I believe it most mostly due to few numbers of 'the ultimate army' and slow upgrades maybe?

Not with Stargate tech funnily enough. It's very hard to mount any real offensive push with it, so Z techs and replaces drones as needed. As long as Protoss is kept honest (dark's harrass) then the Z usually enters late game with a tech lead.

My problem with them is that they cast like they're completely oblivious about the Korean meta. The first time Rotti saw ling/bane into brood lord in WCS he had no idea what to say. Even though he tweeted about watching the SSL finals.

I guess I'd be less critical of the "hype" casters if we had any analysis casters to go along with them. As it is, I feel like we're missing out compared to what we used to have. I really enjoy analytic casting, and having two people both just fake-shouting and calling stuff incorrectly can distract from the games.

If my passion and sincerity don't show through, that's my fault, but it doesn't mean it's not there.

Hey man, no worries. I am nothing if not understanding. I think I get where you're coming from being passionate about the game and wanting to see that reflected in the commentary when you watch. I really feel that burden to make the show as good as it can be, because when I watched GSL growing up I expected the same thing. Thanks for being so reasonable and understanding.

I made a spreadsheet earlier today but screwed up the seeding when players finish less than 8th (goddam sOs/Ryung) which really affects Classic's chances.
Dark,Zest,Stats,TY should be locked in. Solar & Dear are like >90% of outcomes and one of them should be 100% after Dear/TY.
Classic & MyuNgSiK are around 40%.
I'll probably remake/fix it up after tomorrow matches

Hell yeah Dark best zerg planet earth. Makes me happy to have watched him grow from a semidecent player in NASL to being such a god.

Honestly I think Solar>Patience and sOs>myungsik, so I think Classic has a good chance of getting the 8th spot at least for blizzcon (Patience and myungsik would both have to advance to knock him down, something unlikely to happen) .

Finally watched the games.
Wow. Just wow.
G4 and G5 were just amazing. Really thought Classic had it in the bag, especially G5. How did Dark win the engagements with just Ravager-Ling-Bane against a higher supply Templar-Archon army? Didn't seem like Classic botched anything badly (except maybe fighting too much in the open and getting surrounded and hit by banes). Dark had better upgrades?
ZvP is such a fun watch. Probably the best matchup now. So many back and forth BW-esque engagements, no game-ending gimmicks. Really looking forward for Solar v Patience next!
(Super sad to see Classic looking so crushed though )
(GSL? Given up hope on that. PvT, TvT and PvP are all such a pain to watch.)

really good series besides G1 and G3 imo. Classic really miss micro (fucked) G6 with the distruptors attack at Darks 4th, if he had done a decent attack he could have won that game.
Finally i was super surprised when Dark expanded to the gold base and holy shit Darks defense with the drones was amazing. So sad for Classic but to be honest either of them could have won this series.
