So looking at the rule book, apparently this is not a thing and going "pp" into "sry gogo" isn't allowed as you have to inform people of the reason for the pause.

Theoretically though, because the game finished by itself (since the timer wasn't disabled), nobody was able to win the game and it's a forced draw.

Check the DH rules. They're the ones that matter. WCS says you have to follow tournament specific rules.
Regardless, Strange didn't win, if he had a problem with the decision it's too late to bring it up now. Polt won.
