Solar lost in challenger twice last year, I don't think he'd count as a royal roader if he won this season. Like, if you lose in Code A 5 times and on your 6th attempt go straight through and win Code S you're not a royal roader.

"blind" infestation pit and spores just in time, seems pretty reasonable to me
It's the fact he thinks our friend Solar is also on 2 bases which making me laugh.
I mean I wouldn't scout for that base if playing vs an opening like that for the first time, it just looks like late 3rd with some tech you didn't get to scout with your overseer

Yes that i agree with but you also add in, wait why does he have "x" amount of Mutas, why does he have alot etc. Not saying the base is easy to scout but it should be wait a minute, going on his head. Making him scout the whole map

well for sure Zergs will be scouting for that gold now :D
Is here someone watching Passionstone, Heroes or Overlook? I am wondering - is there an add for "Go watch SC2" in those tourneys? Or is all about Cavalry arrived?

From what I can tell, most people on ladder have it vetoed, so they'll be hard pressed to get good practice on it. At least in mirrors that's not such a big deal, but it's still the worst map.

Has he any advantage not going into losers round?
He doesn't get any set advantages AFAIK, no extended series rules. Maybe he gets first map pick, but definitely nothing big.
I really hate when tournament goes for losers bracket but the winner of winners bracket doesn't have any advantage. Feels stupid. Imagine Solar coming back and winning in the second BO7 4:3... 6:7 total score for Dark, but 2nd place ><

Being in the winner bracket means you have played less games and kept more strats hidden, had more time for practice. I think it is a big advantage in itself.
Koreans don't usually make double elim brackets, so they are bad at it. Even this wasn't supposed to be double elim. I think Dark should get 1 map, but they probably think it would be anti-climactic.

Let's take this tournament as an example.
Dark plays 1 set of games less, true. But what strategies are you talking about? Solar will play PvZ and unless you are stating that Solar plays PvZ and ZvZ the same way...
So Dark has 1 free day of preparation, but he doesn't know who he should prepare for

It's a ZvZ and SSL barely has any viewers because of the whole DingIt thing anyway. Not to mention SSL has been pretty bad game-wise compared to GSL/Proleague so I can understand if people give up on it.

Just finished watching! Some epic games there. Funky builds, great plays.
Go Dark! He just looks so chilled and relaxed, even when he's down.

Well, the GSL group selection thread had twice as many pages as this one. And this one is actually about games.

GSL group selection's also a massive, massive event not unlike this one. I don't have the passion to stay up when I have two quizzes to watch/post about SC.

The story of SSL here is a sad one man. When they announced it would be on DingIt, first people said "Okay, give Azubu a chance". Then the Azubu stream got killed and they went "Okay, fuck this". Then they gave us a Youtube stream (which works superbly), but the viewers aren't coming back. GSL has at least 4 times the viewership even on less interesting days, and just generally gets more love and attention.

Proleague also kicks SSL's ass in that regard.
The Youtube stream is awesome. Much better than GSL on Twitch. So I don't know why people are not coming back. Especially at this advanced stage of the competition, where the game quality has improved. Probably out of spite from the early mess?
It's just sad that SSL is not getting much love. And then you have fans complaining we don't have enough Starleagues this year. Terrible lag and poor stream quality has never stopped me from watching Starleagues. It's like turning on the radio to listen to some sports commentary when you're out of on the road, back in the 'ol days. Passion always finds a way!
SKT continuing to dominate SSL. Third player of theirs to make the finals. And you'd have to say he's the favorite against whoever meets him there as he has already beaten them both.
