It could just as easily be the case that Ryu Won is a great coach, but doesnt work well with this team Sure, but that wouldn't change that he is the wrong coach for KT. People's skills and results go up and all down all the time regardless of coach/team Absolutely! But proleague goes on over a pretty long timespan, so it isn't that unreasonable to expect some stability in results, ESPECIALLY in a team format. In the end i don't care if Ryu Won would do well with any other team in the league, he is responsible for KT and if the team fails he is certainly to blame as well. | ||

The point is that this season was a huge let down for that player roster. If there is something to change it most likely would be the coaching staff, not the players. (even though i wouldn't mind another nice signing :D) Nobody can take away what he accomplished with other teams, but that isn't important for this situation AT ALL. | ||

It might even be a case that KT players are too stubborn and have too big egos for a coach like that to succeed. No one is scapegoating the coaches completely. Most KT players are veterans and adults and need to take personal responsibility. But pretending there weren't strategic blunders in build choices and players matchups throughout the season would be letting the coaches skate. KT as a whole was disappointing and underperformed, and there need to be changes before next year. | ||

but I gotta say, this loss does not cast the KT coaches in good light. over two days against evenly-matched opponents (at least), KT underperformed massively when it mattered. I've been having doubts about them, their choices, their management style (from the little I've seen)... I don't know, it just doesn't feel right. since last year there has been something off with this team, and then when you compare them to a team like SKT.... where oov and co. have been doing a masterful job this entire year. so much consistency, and they always feel perfectly prepared. KT has the talent, but it feels like it's been misused horribly this year. just my two cents... honestly I don't follow the coaching scene all that closely but can't help but feel there REALLY is something wrong with that part of the team after watching practically all of their performances over the last couple years. | ||
