If Federer lost to him that day, Federer was the worse player for that match. Obviously Federer is the better player overall Bringing it back to Mana/MarineLord, Mana has historically hit higher levels of play than MarineLord/actually won stuff. So he has more achievements behind him, and he won the match. so... meh? luck and happenstance affect sports competitions all the time. they aren't always more of a factor than skill and execution, but sometimes they are. this is a truth of any competition. so no, i don't think a player who benefits from happenstance in a close game and wins arguably because of it is "better in that match", he just played well enough to stumble into a win
mana looked bad, not a fan of either race or either player

That would be shameful considering Mana's level lol MaNa has just absolutely destroyed elfi earlier today, even Olli admitted it was good PvP play Barely winning 2-1 (and barely is an understatement, the third game was close as fuck) is not destroying. it was a close as fuck hold of an attack with less collossi, less zealots and no thermal lance
All that happened after elfi got away with a 1gate expand into robo basically unchallenged, without even having to use overcharge against the oracle opening. Mana pulled some great moves to continuously pick off probes while teching up (elfi was still massively ahead in tech), then Mana did everything right to identify the attack, stall it for as long as possible, setting up the stalker flank (without it he'd have lost immediately), pulling probes at the exact right times to keep his important units alive, somehow squeezing in the templar archives and holding. THEN on top of that he sniped a stray colossus with 4 stalkers by surrounding it, avoiding the splash and hit a countertiming with his finished +1 attack and now higher colossus count.
If he hadn't done any of those things, he'd have outright died. It was insanely impressive PvP.

So stupid though, Twitter is a very nice medium to connect your "brand" to the world for (semi) celebrities, but so many of them make the mistake of immediately tweet their thoughts after an event.
Facepalmingly annoying

He went 4-0 in R3 of Proleague. Is going to DH Stockholm as well.

First game he showed obviously better control, second game he very likely panicked from a great position. If only the result matters I don't even know what's the point of talking about SC2.
Yeah I wasn't too impressed with Mana's PvT today. First game he had the advantage due to the failed proxy and it went into a pretty standard late game into nukes into loss. Second game Marinelord had it but just fell apart by not moving his widow mines down from Mana's main and move commanding his army into a planetary nexus. And every Terran knows that to defend the all-in attack you rally units to the back of your main and attack at the last moment with SCV buffer and you easily crush the attack instead of just attacking right away and letting the toss camp your production.
