[RBBG] Archon Mode Playoffs - Day 3

Don't follow SC2 that much but how in the world can qxc and his ally have like no units. Their army never really got bigger after their first push, doesn't make any sense did they have 60 scvs or something.
What am I missing?

Fast ghosts + cloak, countered first two adepts with just two ghosts moving over the map, obliterated the entire probe line with them and defended back home against adepts + proxy void ray + oracle (w/ EMP / cloak combo).

It's kind of smart from OneTRUEDong's sense though, they win here and then they're safe no matter what, BeastyQXC won't pick them and even if they did, they just reflect

Well they just patched out mules which cuts 500-1000 minerals out of every early game build. Small disadvantages in the early game end up compounding to major problems later on.
A shame the tournament happened this patch but I guess when you are playing the beta anything goes.

Basically if you're picked, you can choose someone else, so if HuK/MC picked DRG/TRUE in the last match (if it gets there) they can reflect it to beastyqxc.

No. They already have earlier today, you can only reflect once. DRG/TRUE are the only team still in with a reflect left

I am no expert, but I am pretty sure adepts need an attack buff and quicker cool down on psionic transfer. They seem a little slow too, but I don't think a speed upgrade is necessary as long as they get the other upgrades

Ok I guess, but it's a challenge system and DRG/True were challenged 4 times and MC/Huk only twice, so they are punished because they were selected less? That does not seem particularly fair.

It is really to bad qxc and beasty had to play on such a bad patch for terren, they seemed to be one of the most prepared teams coming in I feel like on a different patch they would have wrecked everyone.
That said, Huk/MC and Drg/true both played some excellent games so can't really take anything away form their win.
all in all, the tourney was really sick. I think that was the best sc2 tournament I have watched since redbull NA last year
