Since Aboot Time people read the thread, it would be helpful if you had timers for approximately when games/the stream starts like ESL does. Maybe too late for this event but for future ones it would be helpful

how is bioice not dead yet?

I'm really enjoying the tournament.

By the way, any news about the prize distribution? Is it a secret on purpose?
|
Venue DL speed was about 20 MB/sec and UL was 8 MB/sec. Wasnt terrible but there were like 20+ people playing at once all the time.
|
Rifkin looks better without the Canadian flag on his face.
i'm not a big Pizza eater... but without a doubt... or should i say "no doobt aboot it".. Dominoes >> Pizza Pizza
seeing the "crowd" you have to wonder if hosting it in Toronto was a mistake. Toronto is a big event town and ignores grassroots stuff.

Hydra is currently a player two levels above JaeDong. But it would be great if JD reached the finals against Hydra and plays a few equal matches with him ... as a confidence boost, so that he would manage to get to the finals of WCS!!! And qualify for BlizzCon!

Pretty much and not sure if it is the venues internet or something else bottle necking their video quality but the video quality is far below what BTTV normally provides when rifkin casts from home.

It was very weird that HuK played so bad ... something to do with a team kill ... or he did not think, he has a chance to win, so throwed the games not to show anything to the other opponents ...
Btw, JD's English is getting better, the two sentences about Toronto were reasonable :-) Go JD!!!

No. But a loveable guy.
(I'm no fan of his casting myself actually.)

All the people from Basetrade are great, I am really happy that so far, this event is running well! And now, hype for JD to remember his better times!

I think he's one of the best casters we have. Even if you don't like his humor or something like that. He's both well-spoken, and knowledgeable about the game at the same time. That's already better than 95% of sc2 casters.

i don't know, he has his own share of controversial stuff. like when he acted an ass about that guy that got fucked over in their tournament. and his cringeworthy responses on reddit. laughing about his own jokes and shouting all the time... not really lovable to me that's for sure.

Well, who would you put ahead of him though in terms of knowledge? I don't feel like we have that many casters who actually cast regularly that give real deep analysis. Artosis, Nate, Rotterdam...who else?

rifkin himself doesn't give any sort of analysis to be honest. incontrol, tastosis, nathanias, apollo, huk etc even ZG are way better than him. even wolf/kaelaris/brendan would be better than him and i don't rate those very high

moonglade, brendan, artosis, nathanias, rotterdam, apollo, incontrol, i think all of these people are more knowledgeable than rifkin and give better analysis. crank, zombiegrub, maynard, pig, etc
he's probably ahead of kaelaris and even-ish with wolf and modern tasteless

i recall Heart beating HuK in an ultra long convoluted 1-1-1 off 1 base against an expanding HuK on Metalopolis. but that was a long long time ago.

Doesnt one DT kill a marine and a hydra even if detected?

JD was playing nice games ,,, not making a lot of mistakes ... I am happy for him. But tomorrow, he might play some top tier players, so they will show his real chances before WCS.

they lose because they do not immerse themselves in the culture of the best players... like Grrrr did... like any basketball player from any where else outside NA does when they enter the NCAA or NBA. HuK played best when MC was his roomie and playing partner... it was no accident,.
